    Starting to warm up here in Aus. One thing i've found helpful is a packet of electrolytes in my water and a camelbak while working. Makes a huge difference on those hot days, magnesium will also help with cramps. Great vid mate, keep it up!

      ultra farmer bananas also help with cranks plus they prevent them as well because of the potassium and magnesium plus all fruit actually can help with the symptoms of dehydration and hydroglycimia

    When your working in extreme heat and sweating alot. You need another tool up there with you. An electrolyte replacement drink. Which is why you were cramping. You were getting low on electrolytes. think Potassium and Calcium and Magnesium. Thanks for taking us up there with you.

    One of the best, quick treatments for cramps is salt substitute (mostly potassium chloride).
    A sprinkle on the tongue works in less than a minute.
    Mixing this in your salt shaker, about 1/2 the volume of salt, is a good preventative.
    Muscles take in sodium and kick out potassium to contract.
    They take in potassium and kick out sodium to relax.
    Hence the problem of getting stuck in a contraction, if there is a shortage of potassium.

    Zig zag + rope wrench = dangerous, especially in that configuration. The zig zag is not designed to have more than 50% of your weight on either connection point at any time. When the wrench is disengaged or partially engaged, all or most of your weight loads the chain. Even that aluminum tether that Reon Rounds designed doesn’t keep your weight evenly distributed between the chain and connection point.
    I wish it was safe to use because it is super slick.
    Stay safe

    • @treeman765
      @treeman765 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris Brown how do you know this but no one else does? I’ve seen several use that set up, when the rope wrench is disengaged that means there is no weight on it...

    • @moikechan
      @moikechan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. I have a Zigzag and almost never work out of it. I'm tempted to try a rig like this it's just not worth the risk. There are other tools available to do the job. It is noteworthy that he seems to only uses that rig for attentions. You can catch glimpses of his working rig at various point of the job and he's switched over to DdRT.

    • @chrisbrown40
      @chrisbrown40 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brian Townsend I am not the only one who knows this. It’s in the user manual for the zig zag. It is only for use with a doubled rope.
      Also, just because you have seen someone use something in a particular way many times, does not mean it is the correct use of that thing.
      I’m not sure you understood my comment. There is no concern about weight on the rope wrench, the concern is about uneven distribution of the climber’s weight between the friction chain and connection point of the zigzag. Each point is meant to have exactly half the climber’s weight on it. This is not possible with the rope wrench / zig zag combo.

    First I like the way you keep telling your men they are doing a good job. Next was the tree just cut up for firewood or cut into boards?

    Howdy Human!!
    Man, I’m addicted to the channel! Mind if I ask for some advice? I am looking into an all rounder for firewood. Can only afford the one right now so has to be a well thought out choice. Was looking at the MS261CM as it is bulletproof but was advised that to cover off some larger trees I should go up a size (if I am only going to have the one saw....for now). Looked into the 362 but looks like they are having issues with fuelling and I don’t want to risk it. So then I jump over to the 562XP. Wondering what your advice might be? 562 would be over kill for most of the work but would make life easier when bigger pieces come along, 261 is cheaper and lighter but will it limit me in the future....the dilemma haha. These saws are $1500 and $1850 here in New Zealand so lot of money to fork out!
    Also thanks for making such informative videos man, been a great source of trusted, no nonsense info!
    All the Best.

      Don't think you can go wrong with any of those. You'd be suprised how much you'd be able to do with a 261 and a 20" bar, just takes some advanced techniques.
