There had never been dowry system in this area. NE India had never been under any rule of empires like Mughal etc. The people have been living with freedom for centuries unlike the other parts of India.

Summer, if you wish to experience the campfire thing at the end of the video, you can visit any of the Christian majority states : Nagaland, Manipur ( not majority but significant Christian population ), Meghalaya and most imporantly, Mizoram - all during Christmas to New Year season. It's a beautiful experience. Even those of us in mainland make it our ambition to reach home for the holidays in Christmas.
