  • GHOST - ZENITH [2015]
    One of the best songs we recorded during the Meliora sessions.
    @martin_persner did a great job writing it and (I think) Klas Å did a great job producing it. 🙌

    An absolute crown jewel in the Ghost discography - I'm so thrilled it finally got a wide release with Thirteen Commandments. As always, it is a JOY to get to watch a master at work. 🖤

    One of my favorite songs to drum along to! It's awesome to see how the actual drummer plays it. Thanks so much for doing these!

    I wake up to this song daily. You make everything you play look so simple. Yet, you get such a big sound from your technique. Thanks for posting.

    Congrats! Really nice grooves! Can you do Mummy Dust and/or Witch Image? Especially in Witch Image your ride technique is a riddle to me. :) Btw, you made me pick up drum sticks and start learning drumming.

    My god I just luv this song so much off the green album😂. Is that a 24 in HHX ride and 15” AAX med hats?

    • @ludvigkennberg
      @ludvigkennberg  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks!
      It’s a 22” HHX Complex ride and the hihat is a 15” AAX Medium Bottom on top of a 15” Monarch bottom.

    In my amateurish opinion, this and Majesty are your best of the best.

    in all your infinite fame and wealth, you may not see this at all, but i figured it'd be worth asking: what size crashes are those, and in terms of recording nicely, what are your favorite crash sizes in general? thank you!!!!!!!

    • @ludvigkennberg
      @ludvigkennberg  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@slipperrk1cks 20” is my favourite crash size, but I use different series depending on what type of music I’m playing.
      So for rock-ish music I have a AAX medium crash and a 20” x-plosion crash that I use a lot.
      If I play on a soft track I use even bigger, but thinner cymbals.

      @@ludvigkennberg thank you so much! i've always been partial to heavier 18" or 19" crashes, mostly because i feel like they're able to put out a bit more energy for faster stuff and are mellow enough for slower music, though i've been looking for a nice 20" for that huge, washy "wall of sound" sort of effect. your recommendations are super useful!
