    It's not a prayer, but just a saying, "let's dig in!". You are so fun to watch and I like the way you try to bring simple Japanese life to us in the west and beyond. Natto sounds like nachos, so I thought you were having nachos for breakfast...hehe! You are a very pretty girl and so relaxing to listen to. Keep up the good work!! 👍

    Your English is improving. Haven't had natto in awhile, and acquired taste, but I like it. It's 2.30 am Saturday morning and I'm listening to the wind sigh through the trees outside my windows, a very peaceful sound. Enjoy your weekend. Matane.

    Good morning! Seeing Anly perform live at a private event must be awesome - I remember coming across a youtube video of her doing a street live performance of "Moonlight" and it was so catchy! One of my favourite Japanese singers YUI also started off as a street performer so I think Japan must have a wonderful busking culture.

Shika shares her experience at the concert and a talked a little bit about who Anly is. Shika explained that Anly was a Singer that sung a song for the popular Anime show Naruto.

    We don’t have a phrase we say before eating.
    Unless if you are religious, then you might pray and say “amen” before eating (for Christians)
    in USA it is polite to wait until everyone has their food, and then you just… eat! Nothing needs to be said.
    “Let’s dig in” isn’t really said much. I don’t think I’ve heard it since school, or playfully from friends or family.

  • @groorg24
    @groorg24 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    “Let’s dig in.” Is a super casual phrase we hardly ever use. To be clear we don’t really have a widely used phrase like いただきます。 it really depends on the family and culture. Some will say a “grace” which is a small prayer thanking for the food. For the most part we sit down and just eat 😅

    When I visited Japan, we had a tour group. In one restaurant we visited, our tour guide made a comment that maybe not all of us were proficient in using chopsticks. But one man in our group was very proficient with them, picking up little pieces of rice with them. The guide complimented him and said he must have a lot of experience with chopsticks. He replied that he just had a lot of experience eating in general, because he was a little overweight. We all laughed.

    I'll try it when I see it but I'm not devoted enough to pay postage and order online. I like all things fermented so I bet it'll be good.

    Is it just me or did you sound a little more talkative in this vid? Cause it’s morning? 👀
    Many thanks for talking about the natto conditions!
    23:30 lol, it’s ok. And me too. I’ve never watched Naruto before or any popular anime other than Pokémon. I like Star Wars but the current stuff is …….

    Interesting! I'm used to chopsticks 🥢 every day. Therefore it must be easy for me to eat Natto as well. I never tried it though and I'm curious how it tastes...
