this tutorial was PERFECT. I have ADHD so I have a hard time sitting through tutorial videos with super long intros or tedious unnecessary steps to make a video longer, but this was amazing. specific and straight to the point. the visual at the beginning was very helpful too! you earned a sub :)
haha, this comment really spoke to me i just ragequit a like 30 minute tutorial that began with explaining the composition of irl clouds atoms and what not
i have to say, this tutorial gave me the start of what i needed, and found my own way because of it of doing clouds. based on the same concept... i draw clouds in circles, like always moving my brush in a circular motion, having 2 base colors close to each other 50% opacity down and just blending in colors to get the shapes i want, is amazing in 5-10 minutes u get a huge area done pretty fast.
Quick run down: Draw a shape (tear drop and a trail) in a dark color. Paint inside of the shape a lighter color (the inner highlight) but keeping the darker on the outer edges (to show roundness), and then add an almost white small highlight to show "shininess". You can enhance the "wet" feel on skin or another surface by changing the layer to multiply or soft light (whichever works for you) and change the opacity down to like 80%. It would probably be easier to show but this is the text explaination.
This was really helpful, I've joined a cloud studies clhallenge in a discord server but I had no understanding of how to paint clouds, this helped a lot
Wonderful video. I love the way you superimposed the spheres and kept referring to them. I also like your methodology - meaning, you stayed on the topic with no silly banter. How refreshing!
Ok this is definetly the best and easiest cloud tutorial I have ever seen. TYSM. Normally I love draeing Anime characters but then I realized I also have to draw landscapes, so I started to practise. i absoulutely had no idea where to start in tbe sky, so thank you so much for this tutorial💕
Thank you for this tutorial. I starting to learn how to draw and I'm just a beginner and purchased clip studio and a Wacom tablet. Please give more tutorials on landscapes, like water, mountains, grasslands etc.. I would love to learn and try these for myself.
Thank you very much for the video! I still need more practice but your video got me farther then the other videos I tried. I did however find it looks better if I sort of let the cloud tell me how it looks.
This is great, really appreciate these straightforward tips. One problem. The site for the brushes seems to be down, I don't suppose you could upload them to Google Drive or something for people to have access to?
I just randomly came across this tutorial on Twitter and didn't even realize it was by you! Haha Had to drop you a sub, my dude! This will be good for later. Clouds are fun to draw, but boy would I like to get better at making them 😅
