The video for "Going To Hell", directed by Tim Mattia, is dark and symbolic, with images of fire, crosses and scenes of desolation. Taylor Momsen appears in provocative poses, reinforcing the song's themes.
"Going To Hell" is also the title of their second album, which reached number 5 in the Billboard charts. This is also the album that contains the following 3 tracks: "Heaven Knows", "Messed Up World" and "Follow Me Down", all of which reached number 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
Unfortunately, during the creation of the album, they had to face several tragedies, such as Hurricane Sandy, which destroyed their studio; the New York blackout, during which Taylor wrote the lyrics for Going To Hell sitting amongst candles; and the death of the wife of Kato, the band's producer.
The album Going To Hell is dedicated to her and is characterized by the band as the best of times and the worst of times, the result of a heartbreaking creation and a surprising success, according to Taylor a triumph in many respects.
