I may not get it the lyrics i mean but i feel it this song has a lot of emotions, as a musician Music is nothing without an emotions , very touching melodies and sequence and arrangement i love the frequency of this song

The lyric is the story of a deep love of a man toward his darling. He is trying to say how much he love and cherish her in a very humbling and affectionate way. The lyric is a pure metaphor language. All words should be taken figuratively. It has enormous poetic features such as allegory, allusion, hyperbole, ..., so it is not meant to be taken literally whatsoever. Hijab here is probably meant anything that acts as a barrier between him and her darling (just an allegory).

Thanks mace this is one of my most favorite songs ever not only from ebi but all time the music from this album was by siavash ghomeyshi but this song was by the late great babak bayat and once again u got it right pretty much in terms of the hejab part being a metaphor ( saying my soul I'm sad and upset of your hejab)the line after is show me what your true self looks like without a mask this is a heavy song hard to translate song

Ah, Ebi! one of the best! He has a really powerful and amazing voice, he is called "Mr. Voice" by iranians.
This song came out 1974 but the put to the album in 1991 and this is best song of Ebi in whole time for me

As far as I remember, (I was very young) this song is belong to a film. But I don't remember the film. I'm not sure.
