- Open.BVE is finally on the channel and I am making a series covering all the London Underground (Tube) Lines available for the game with gameplay showcasing the routes and trains. In this video we are driving on the shortest line on the Tube Network: the Waterloo & City line doing a return trip. Enjoy.

I have only ever travelled on this line once, and for what it is I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would love for someone to make such a route for TS2016, simply so LU can finally begin proper representation in the sim, not a lengthy route I know but best to test the waters with something smaller in my opinion. Such a short route in TS, like the Corris Railway for example, has the potential to have a lot of more detail than usual. Plus of course, anything in TS will look better than Open.BVE (again, my opinion).
&moleman978 what route do u think will be the next ts2016 route and what would you like it to be?
of course train sim looks miles better then openBVE but for the time it was pretty damn good and yeah I agree other 3rd party add ons like the frankfurt map show that train sim can do metro/underground so its only a matter of time; and I am sure licensing should be fine if they good london overground easily most likely the hardest things will be route research as I know its rather expensive getting it as I heard from the video 125 train cab ride films of why they are not doing updated version as filming/photography on the tube is quite a premium for these kind of things
Difference between video and simulation is where you get references from. In video, naturally you have to capture exactly what is intended which involves recording routes which are always busy and understandably 'premium'. A simulator wouldn't need a full rundown of an underground route before hand, its only a tunnel (Well, the Victoria and W&C, the rest are more complicated), you could use one of the disused tunnels to capture details such as that (disused lines are frequently used for filming purposes, an old Charing Cross platform was used for James Bond once).
Moleman978, your completely right, they should add LU routes to Train Simulator 2016 and add LU Trains to come with it, what do ya think?

It is the class 482. The class 483 run on the island line (isle of wight)
The point of the Waterloo & City line is that the original company that built the line to Waterloo wanted to extend it all the way to the city centre but weren't aloud to so Waterloo became their London terminus. They could only build the line underground to the city which they did.
This is now the only place you find 4 car trains on the underground the other was the chesham to chalfont shuttle which now has been replaced by frequent S8 stock 8 car services from the city.
The 42nd St Shuttle of London lol. I use to think similar of the 42nd St Shuttle in NYC and say, "What a pointless line!" especially because the Number 7 train follow the same path (though with an intermediate stop at 5th Avenue to transfer the lettered lines.) Turns out it links Time Square to Grand Central Terminal, the two most busiest places in the city. I also found out, it the line with the most ridership. Now that blew my mind. Then I found out London has it's version of it (though with much more colorful backstory unlike 42nd St who was just one line cut into 2 with the shuttle linking them.)

You should do the Northern Line next. I just finished it. I don't know about the others but the creator of that line programmed AI too. So I kept catching up to the train in front and I kept stopping at signals behind it. Good fun. Interior isn't as good as the central line but it was still quite fun to always be alert as opposed to just sitting there, going from station to station - knowing there's a green light coming up.

The annual passenger load is in the millions. At peak times it is almost like Bombay railways except that everybody queues for the doors.
I used to use the Drain a lot and remember the old 1940's stock. They weren't that bad except they rolled a lot.

Class 482 aka 1992 Tube Stock, which also serves the Central line in 8 car format.

The deadmans handle on this stock is called the TBC - Traction Brake Controller
Train Operators on the Central line do the Waterloo and City line also. The drivers on the W&C are based at Leytonstone.

Tube driver do drive W&C line and the drivers are from the Hanuit depot ( central line) they drive the W&C line once every eight weeks!
LondonBuses1503 W&C train operators come from different depot's of the Central line :)

Thought you'd like to know, the Waterloo & City Line has 5 trains using drivers based at the Central Line's Loughton Depot who drive on this line as part of their weekly roster.The old trains you mentioned were Class 487s(1940-1993)formed of 5 cars, one motor carriage is undergoing restoration at London Transport Museum's Depot at Acton
how many out of the 5 lets say during peak rush hours are in use going back and forth like 2 or 3 and back has two platforms?
During peak periods all 5 trains are used in service.This is possible because during the rush hours there are drivers sitting at both ends of the train meaning that turn around times are only 20-30 seconds, in the off peak only 2 trains are used with a single driver per train.

Hello Qwerty, no time no see. I see that your keeping your keeping up the great videos. By the way, the "Waterloo And City Line" has 4 units, you were correct saying that it was the Class 482.
The Hammersmith and city line is also a good one for openBVE however it only goes up to Kings X St Pancras :(

yo qwerty did you know that you could get the game to control the train for you in most BVE trains. all you need to do is press CTRL+A and the game will control the train automatically. it would be useful if you are doing the northern, victoria or jubilee lines since they are controlled by ATO in real life. not sure if that trick works with the 92' stock but its a useful trick if you're trying to do any ATO things or if you are feeling lazy :p

QwertyAfro fair enough, at the moment im using the "ATO" feature on the northern line with my camera in the passenger view chilling, waiting for a video to upload lol.

No Qwerty. The 483s are the 1938 stock trains running on the Isle Of Wight 😂😂. This one is class 482.

everytime I launch Openbve it closes and says "openbve has stopped working"
I gave up on OpenBvE I could downloaded it, I downloaded the maps and trains, everytime I would open the route and tick the box saying (Default route or whatever it says) click continue (THE HYPE) and then it crashes........... So anyways, Qwerty could you do the Northern or Victoria line as those two are the ones I mainly go on!

I got the Central line. But for some reason whenever I open up OpenBVE the game crashes.
try reinstalling it and you need all the recommended downloads for it from the link
And what do you mean by "2 or 3 units" What is a 'unit'???
a train consisting of whatever many carriages is a unit so the train I was driving has 4 cars is 1 unit

Whats the keys for the PA's?
the PAs are manual for the route: they start from the 2 key to 0 (not on the numpad just the normal ones) the route comes with a manual describing what each one does as you could hear me reading a few times in the video
is it really open DOT BVE?
