I just bought a Chanel bag myself and also had a coupon code and Paid local taxes all together I paid $2,743.73. Will they charge me the true cost before the code or charge me the cost I've paid for custom ? I greatly Appericate your time !

If your item cost $3000, the state and local tax will apply. Depends on the seller, if he declare the full $3000 as the value, you will have to pay $3000 x 9% in import tax, since anything over $800 will be assessed. For me if I purchased through US luxury reseller I probably have to pay the cost of the item at ~$4000-$5000 (if available) and tax on that amount. For me it was worth it because the cost of the item is where I saved most. Hope that helps.
Yes, there was duty/custom tax. For me I had to paid 9% of the value of the item for anything over $800. Anything value under $800, there is no duty/custom.
