Andy stating he didn't give a damn to the Russian guy gives me life. 🤣🤣🤣 He was tired and getting nowhere until they found the son. Also love the bear hug he gives Connie when she is released from the cuffs too.

Among the VERY best storylines/scenes ever for NYPD Blue. And THAT my friend is saying something. The whole show was in a class if not of its own, its peer base minuscule. I'd love to see another. But even without the current political climate, the chances of ever hitting that golden cache of writing, acting and directing in a single series again is nil. Lightning doesn't strike twice.

I'd like to know what Yuri (the bald guy) said to the old man in his apartment complex as Andy and John were taking him in. That's what put the whole bomb thing in motion.
No he wasn't. A person forced to commit crimes while under direct threat of death or because members of that person's family have been taken hostage is not a willing participant therefore bears no guilt for the acts committed while under that state of threat.
One thing I always wondered did the show have a problem with showing an older man kissing a younger woman because we only saw Connie and Andy kiss once not a single mature scene with him or her the other characters had plenty of those types of scenes even medavoy had a mature scene with his ex-wife
According to Dennis Franz in his Emmy TV Legends interview from 2006. The higher-ups didn't want Andy & Connie to be intimate on-screen. Though he and Charlotte Ross (Connie) had tried to get the producers to give them more on-screen intimate scenes but they said no. Even when the characters were married the producers were against for some reason.
This series ran the gamut of emotion from A to Z and back again. Not many shows can provoke tears, tension, smiles and fist pumps like NYPD Blue!
