ikr I know right... a quality video...cool video....as said in the video...when your old you have problems...yet without having His forgiveness and friendship...you have serious problems. good
I remember watching this episode as if it were yesterday. Very emotional…for Andy and because I knew the absolute best television series then or now…was ending soon. Our Tuesday night friends were leaving and there was nothing we could do to stop it. It’s still all these years later the only series we’ve watched start to finish and never missed as episode.
I know benburra.... I felt the same way about Tuesdays after Sons of Anarchy ended. ...then Yellowstone....now what? NYPD Blue will always rank among the tops for a fact.
What an iconic TV series! NYPD Blue was extremely well-written and well-acted. When a TV show can bring tears to your eyes, you know it's good. I used to watch this with my now late wife. Great memories and this show brings those memories back. Rest in peace, my precious wife. I sure miss you. ❤❤❤
Dennis Franz just brought so much dignity to his role. When I saw these on 20 years ago I just treated it like a forgettable TV show. Now I'm older I see how much more there is in it and how hard the cast and writers worked, right up to the end.
TNT network used to re-run two episodes of this show every weekday. I think it was 3 and 4pm, back to back, monday thru friday. Ten episodes a week for many years, as I recall. This was right around the time TIVO first came out, the first DVR recorder. I remember coming home from work every day just before 5 and seeing that red light on, which meant it was still recording the 4pm episode. I'd wait a couple minutes, then plop down to watch the two episodes while eating dinner. I must have watched the entire run of the show 3 or 4 times this way during those years. The world has changed since then, my life has changed. But those were some very good years. I miss those years, and I miss this show. Thanks to whomever keeps posting these.
Where was this episode for 20 years. I've watched as many NYPD Blue episodes as I could ever find. Never saw this one. Honor and Respect. Important in a man's life. Andy portrayed humility and pride, guts, and determination.
I cried when i first saw this episode back in the 90's. Sipowicz thought everyone had gone ahead only to find the full detective squad, uniformed officers and a 2-star saluting him in honor of his promotion. This was a great episode to post and, 30 years later, brings tears to my eyes again. Thank you!
My Significant Other was 27 years My Senior but We had a 32 year relationship which ended when she died of Cancer at age 80. She had 3 daughters, (1 older than Me, 2 younger) and they all respected Our relationship. 14 years after her death and I still miss her every single day.
I remember the initial showing of this episode on ABC. The last scene was terrific. Until the final episode where he's put in command of the squad, this scene brought Andy full-circle.
It's so good to see this show again. Thanks for posting it. I lived close to work in East Honolulu. I would go home for my hour lunch, eat, and watch an episode. Arguably the best police T.V. series ever.
Best show in television history. I miss those characters. Growing up in NYC, those were the good days. Andy Sipowicz was just perfect with all of his imperfections.
So many excellent episodes i.e when Lt Fancy took Andy to soul food restaurant , Bobby’s death , Andy Jrs. death, Andy’s recognition and acceptance of John as a human being , how he stood up for him and on and on and on just outstanding television .
in this show/series, and many others over the years, there have been thousands of actors in bit parts, and roles like the several women in this particular episode (for example)...... who are wonderful actors. and I always wonder about their lives and careers, if they could make a living from their craft, or what? this was a fantastic episode..... thanx for the upload!
I ❤ the lady actress that played the nurses aid elana Can't remember her name i believe this actress lady's name is octovia spencer. However this actress is beautiful and a very very talented actress. I watch all movies etc that she's in. Phenomenal actress. ❤❤❤. She is Extremely talented❤❤
The daughter, the judge, a fairly accurate depiction of a lack of respect for defendanrs' rights I'd say. Especially in the corruption that is New York.
God I love this fucking show. All these years, all the times I've watched, and I'm still getting goosebumps and I'm welling up. The acting, the music. Damn.
cool video....as said in the video...when your old you have problems...yet without having His forgiveness and friendship...you have serious problems. good video
I think the writers savored over the plot like a fine wine... These days, writers treat a plot like a shot of vodka... That's the difference between class and the claptrap on TV these days...
Ahh the New York i remember and miss, espec. the shits if the East Village. Sad Giuliani came in and changed everything and Mr.Trump getting rid of all the Hot dog carts😢
Riveting, even to a young teener who could barely keep up with multiple storylines; yet watched regularly then, but doesn't remember when Andy made seargeant
60 YEARS BETWEEN MY WIFE AND I. TWINS BORN ON JULY O3 2023 AT 82 OLDEST FATHER OF TWINS IN THE WORLD TODAY AT 82 PATRIOTIC AMERICAN VIETNAM WAR VETERAN OF 7 YEARS
ADA Munson actress Elizabeth Lackey is actually a famous Australian Actress. In other shows and photos she is a clone of American actress Katie Holmes.
Boy how I wish we had quality, relevant shows like this today . Such incredible writing and acting . True classic
ikr I know right... a quality video...cool video....as said in the video...when your old you have problems...yet without having His forgiveness and friendship...you have serious problems. good
I'll let you in on a secret. In 2050 a bunch of people are going to write those very same words about TV programming in April 2024.
There are a ton of shows that have this quality today.
Oh yes!! Real housewives and 4 million eps of Survivor!!!
it brings tears to watch great shows like this.
Perhaps the best TV drama series ever presented. Never a bad showing. Bravo!
This was cut from the hill street blues...turned the formate on its head...like dirty Harry.
Oh we were blessed! Those of us who were gifted NYPD Blue !

I never watched it but from the episodes I found on TH-cam, it does seem brilliant. Law & Order is a brilliant substitute.
I know benburra.... I felt the same way about Tuesdays after Sons of Anarchy ended. ...then Yellowstone....now what? NYPD Blue will always rank among the tops for a fact.
My wife and I cried 😢
I very much miss this show
unbelievable - no commercial interruptions ... thank you thank you thank you thank you
the one - and only - show that made me cry more times than I am willing, or able, to count.
Love the ending!! One of the best scenes of the entire show. Congrats Sergeant!!
I wonder why I'm crying
It is.

Best cop show ever made, even beats out "Hill Street Blues".
Hill Street Blues is why NYPD evolved and became great!
Each was a defining show of their time.
Anything beats out HSB. I couldn't make it through one episode.
Dennis Franz just brought so much dignity to his role. When I saw these on 20 years ago I just treated it like a forgettable TV show. Now I'm older I see how much more there is in it and how hard the cast and writers worked, right up to the end.

Great episode. Thanks for posting the whole episode. I had seen parts of it before, but never the entire episode. It was a great series.
Glad you enjoyed it
Outstanding Performance! This style of television is so missed 😢. Andy was “True Police”. Promotion was well deserved and well overdue. Salute!
Where was this episode for 20 years. I've watched as many NYPD Blue episodes as I could ever find. Never saw this one. Honor and Respect. Important in a man's life. Andy portrayed humility and pride, guts, and determination.
Octavia Spencer making a guest appearance in this episode before she became a household name.
They always found the best.
I recognized her instantly 😂
Never heard of her. Asked my wife and she "Who?"
Funny enough its not her first appearance. She was a travel agent in an episode 3 years before this one when an IAB captain is going after Rodriquez

Actually, this episode was in 2005.
If Bobby only lived to see this. Great episode

I don't know why people make an issue about age gaps. If you love each other and take care of each other then why do they have a problem with it?
This episode was so emotional and i really effen lost it at the end what a great show.
I remember the initial showing of this episode on ABC. The last scene was terrific. Until the final episode where he's put in command of the squad, this scene brought Andy full-circle.

Why would it matter where you live?
This is one of my favorites love love love Andy

I’ve forgotten how good this show was, and how much I loved it.
Amazing episode. Acting from all was superb. Old man's wife is mega cute.
The best workin' stiff in the history of TV. Ef Ralph Cramden!

15:41 i took a couple of Acting Classes with him. Great Teacher
This was a magnificent show, the writing and acting was unsurpassed on television and there will never be another show like this ever again.

Love NYPD Blue
Always something in my eye at the end of this..
That end scene makes me cry every single time!
The clarity is outstanding 👍👍
Gees we had some good television before "reality" TV took over. 🇦🇺
The daughter, the judge, a fairly accurate depiction of a lack of respect for defendanrs' rights I'd say. Especially in the corruption that is New York.
Nichole Hiltz. I recognized that voice! She played 'Tulips' in the Shield - was excellent there too
This is one of the best series ever.
People today don't know how many firsts this broke for tv
Ed Lauter as Jerry. I always think of him as Capt.Knauer in The Longest Yard.
The idea that the secretary for a top lawyer with many years on the job would just sit their and confess is nuts
Just watched this again. Can't help myself...
God I love this fucking show. All these years, all the times I've watched, and I'm still getting goosebumps and I'm welling up. The acting, the music. Damn.
Holy Cra*p, is that CLIT - uuuhhh, sorry, I mean CLORIS LEACHMAN? (A little Freudian Slip there . . .) That woman was HOTTTTTTT!!!!!!
The ending "Chokes me up" every time I watch it .............
cool video....as said in the video...when your old you have problems...yet without having His forgiveness and friendship...you have serious problems. good video
I can't watch the final scene enough. ❤️
I'd never seen this episode. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
What if, when he turned his head, there on the stairs were ALL of ex-partners and bosses, too! Oh man, what a thing that woulda been - tearjerker!
I took the #7 to Shea back in the day.
omg so good!!!

Hey, that is Larry David's mother-in-law.
*Dang I remember her she;s an Australian actress*
Okay Octavia Spencer.
Check the credits. Episode directed by Ed Begley Jr!
Nichole Hiltz is 💯
Loved this show but the camera works was to crazy for me
She doesn’t run into the bedroom the very first second she sees everyone there and learns it’s about her husband?
Why can’t we get something like this on tv now?
TV execs these days are all about making money quickly and inexpensively.
Carley Fiorina??? When was this show made? Must have been before 2015...
1993-2005
At the end of the credits, you will see a copyright year. The episode was produced that year or early i the previous year.
Fiorina ephed up two companies under her leadership or lack thereof. HP and Lucent. Funny how the father plays up Fiorina to his daughter. Laughable.
Anyone know where I can watch the first few seasons of
25:30 wow we know him
Phoebe Kates or I am blind!
How overdone is the handheld camerawork in this episode, and the entire series for that matter?
39:35❤
My folks favorite show......and mine as well! Great show, phenomenal acting, and the writing was terrific!
Couldn't agree more!
