Im a PGA member (golf instructor) Matt you explain the baseball/softball swing with the physics and geometry side of things. very few people use the language you use. Very strong developmental technics, no bandaid fixes. Great instruction!! Thank you for posting your instruction videos.
I enjoyed this video. I have been a softball coach for 15+ years raising my daughter through travel leagues, school ball, and college. I now enjoy coaching young hitters (softball only) and have found that their is a bunch of really bad instruction out there. I look forward to seeing your videos and being challenged by some of the information you put out. I have so far agreed with most of your information, and been made to think about some of my own ideas. Thanks again for the detailed information and great videos.....mike
Antonelli Softball I haven’t taught that swing in the past 6 years. The power of video with quality analysis from people like you has helped me break the cycle of bad information. At least with the players I coach directly. Thanks for what you do!
Matt, love this tip but, my 13 year old granddaughter isn't buying advice from an 'old" baseball player. LOL! You've got to do a better job of selling yourself to these girls! Maybe try to explain to them why there is little difference between hitting a baseball and softball? BTW, what are the differences? Have you ever played fastpitch?

Liking the new softball focused videos! Although as you know, a good swing is s good swing.
This is a long way from what I learned as a kid...”hands to the ball”. How I wish I could go back in time.
Most still learn hands to the ball. I don’t feel that is a good cue for what actually happens in the swing

Shoulders go direct to ball and find plain and tilt... your demonstration shows u collapsing your shoulder prior to rotation...... js
Shoulders go to ball? I don't agree 100% with that approach. I teach kids to keep their weight back.
Not a good advise
