I love this river so much. This video makes me want to kayak it again so bad.

Nice video. I think we must have been a day ahead of you. We launched at Deerlodge on June 11th. That wind really was crazy!

Yeah we got hit with the worst of it right when we got to Echo Park. It was absolutely nutty! Scarier than any whitewater in a packraft!

Overall it was great but I didn’t put the two days of 45mph winds in the edit! My boat flipped and cartwheeled 150 yards upstream. Had to swim out and hike back to it. Wasn’t rolling the camera either. Ha.

Dan Ransom haha yeah that happens, my last two trips on the yampa were great , but it rained and snowed most of the time on mid may trips I did get to run warm springs at 16 k !!!!! At peak flow a few years back, I’m headed to Flathead next week wheee I think water is still high ... win

That tail-mount for your GoPro, made from PVC, just visible at the very end of the video. Very cool! Is that your own design, or did you find something online that you used to create that?

My own very poorly made design... Haha. Some day I'll make a new version of it that is improved, but it's a wicked entrapment hazard so I only use it when I am pretty confident I won't swim. Not recommended.

Did you do the low water trip last fall? Thought you were on it.
