What the: Surprisingly I’ve never heard of a competent whitewater kayaker getting paralyzed doing this stuff. Numerous deaths however - almost always due to getting pinned underwater - not from the impact. The only thing that makes these drops possible is the highly aerated water at the bottom - it’s the perfect mixture of air and water. Pure water would be way too hard of an impact.

It's hard to imagine such a fall even being possible when run perfectly. Put I'll say this drop looked even scarier than Palouse Falls, which looks much deeper by comparison. Makes me wonder whether Dane did anything to gauge the actual depth at the base of the drop?

The FPV drone footage on this looks sick! Especialy the dive at 7:42. I'd love to know who was the pilot.
