Nice video, Travis....thanks for posting, enjoyed the drone footage too. I love the sign next to the fireplace (no wifi, talk to each other.......") Tom
Thanks! The Old Prichard Tavern is like stepping back in time in a way. But that fireplace was just as warm as it looked! Thankfully! Cause I was freezing!
@@mountainwanderer I've about a month until the surgery. Recovery is supposedly very quick - walking day of and running within a few weeks time. We shall see...
The dreary weather conditions remind me of western, WA. Beautiful mountains that you'll never see because they're socked in. It's still nice to get out there & get some exercise.
From my perspective it's looks like serious winter. And you are right rain with snow on the ground sucks big time. Great video with some fantastic drone shots.
Bob, that is heart breaking. I wish there wasn't such a stigma on depression in our society....its a real thing and if you are a person that suffers from it its crippling and horrific. I just wish people would pick up a phone and reach out somehow and just talk. Once again so sorry for your loss. Keep your chin up brother.
Yeah, you're going to be waiting on me while I fly it this summer! 😂 I haven't been in to the Mallard Larkins with it yet, so I am excited to see what it looks like from the drone.
Our snow pack is well below normal. In your trips out west this year, you might get to experience one of our fire seasons.... I hope not, but we need snow or a wet spring and summer.🤞
@mountainwanderer just got done with my 3rd backpacking trip and I'm hooked! In/out hikes work but a good loop always more exciting. My favorite is when I know I was the only one on the trail that day!
@@SuperdutyExplorer Right on! I always prefer to do loops when I can. I love the feeling that you never retrace your steps, every step is on new trail!
You had best make all your videos this year early. Sadly I think the "Great Burn" is going to live up to its namesake. (Nice shot of the Crow btw, no pun intended)
Hi there. Love your videos, started watching them back at start of covid 2020. Do you know where The Hiking Hippy lad is. You used to hike with him and he had his own TH-cam channel?
Excellent video brother! Looks like you had an awesome time out there in those gorgeous snowy woods 👍
Thank you! Great to see your name come across the wire! I hope you are doing well!
@@mountainwanderer Anytime brother... anytime! 👍
Excellent editing, look forward to more content
Thank you! Thanks for coming along with us!
Thumbs up on the video and the trip! Thumbs down on El Nino! haha
Isn't that the truth! It's killing the snow pack for sure!
Good to see you back out. Nice drone work. Really like your videos and give Timber a pat. Take care, Al
Timber was living his best life on this one! Because, when we have steak, he always gets some!
Good to see you & Timber back-out on the trails again.
It is good to be back on trail!
Great to see you back for another season!
Happy to be getting the season underway!! Thanks for checking it out!
Great start to the 24 season! Great spot by the river. Looking forward to the next adventure. Prichard tavern looks like my kind of place 🤝🏻
Prichard is a welcome oasis after some of these adventures!
Great way to start my morning
Thanks for coming along with us!
The end of winter has come but the winter weather is not quite finished with us yet. Great beginning episode to another season of wandering.
That is the truth! Thanks for checking it out, Aaron!

I'd take that outing, even with the rain. Hoping for at least one winter camping trip this year but the weather is not making it easy!
That sucks that your knee is giving out on you! How long is the recovery on that? Looks like your winter has been about as snowy as ours.

I hope that is the case!
Nice hooch!!!!
Thanks! 😂

That is very true, expect on the west side everything is much greener and lush. But it is nice to just get out there!
Love!!!!!❤
Thanks for checking it out!
@@mountainwanderer Your very welcome & my pleasure!!
Nice use of the drone around the camp I liked that. Good to see No Name and Frank, and Timber. 2024 has officially begun for the Wanderer.
Thank you my friend! Dragging the boys out for night and swimming back to the trailhead!
@mountainwanderer OH yeah....happy late birthday I missed it this year. Hahahah....old man.

Normally we'd be dealing with feet of snow, but we're getting out there anyway. Grab your rain gear!
Delighted to see you emerged from hibernation!
Feels great to sleep in the mountains again! Looking forward to more trips!
It’s good to see you underway in 2024. Cheers to a great year!
Looking forward to what's to come!
Terrific drone footage, great companions and Timber. I just lost my birding friend Randal.
Sorry to say he take his own life....RIP
@@bobparsons77 Really sorry to hear that, Bob......

Love those drone shots!
Thanks! Trying to figure out interesting ways to use it
Yes!
Woohoo! 🦉
Can’t beat a good night out to start the season! How’s the snow level out your way this year compared to average?

I'm mainly a hiker, just got into backpacking for longer hikes 😂 maybe if I find someone to go with I'll like the camp life more...
Whenever I'm out just hiking, I hate when it is time to turn around and go back! Waking up in the wilderness is a special feeling for me!

If you mean Joey, he left youTube, but posts videos and trip reports on Patreon under My Own Frontier.
Yeah, not much snow. Bad for summer.
Yep! It's shaping up to be a dry summer
