Nice. Love waking up to robins singing. Definitely feeling the need for some hammock time under big trees, away from everyday life. With school and work, may be more day trips this year unfortunately.
There is nothing wrong with day trips, but of course nothing beats waking up in my hammock out in the woods! But we have to take it as comes. As long as you get out, you're doing well!
Great one nighter Travis. That looks like a Yellow Leaf Halbred Violet at 10:17. Also it sure is nice to see a healthy hemlock forest. Our hemlocks have been dying by the millions from Hemlock Woolly Adelgids for the last 20 years. Sweet campsite!
New music? New pack? New glasses for sure! So we now know what the reset button is for The Mountain Wanderer....A good trail, a good fire, time with Timber, whisky, and a night under the stars! Totally relatable. Im hoping to do a little trip like this ,this coming weekend...just get out...and be outside and relax. How is the tick situation on that trip? Ticks are out in full force over here.
I was checking myself and Timber for ticks and didn't see any! Very surprising! Glad to hear you're going be to getting out! How is the movie going? I assume that you're in full production by now.
@@mountainwanderer FINAL table read was last Saturday. Filming starts this Saturday. I wont be needed for the 2 scenes they are filming....soooo will be in the woods. Their not filming in chronological order except for the last scene. Looking forward to being done with it. Its a commitment that eats up alot of time. lol. But definiteky an experience.
I live in the Northeast Megalopolis (born here) and I live vicariously through your videos. Hope to move out to the Northwest in the next couple years.
So many cool little places in the CDA forest since the first time I went up there with my family in the 60's. Camp in the middle of the week if you can.
Still loving your videos! The music is perfect for Idaho. Any ideas for a place in Idaho for a 30 to 50 mile backpacking trip? Coming from the Portland area. Never hiked in Idaho before but it looks incredible.
The area call the Great Burn is one of my favorites! It's on the Idaho / Montana border. You could put together 50 mile loop in there without any trouble!
You know how to really savor the simple pleasures. I too, enjoy just sitting and listening to the sounds of the Forest. The Birds, the Wind, the soft padding of Bear footsteps🐻😆 walking the other way, the trickling or rushing water..Àhhh. Thank you. Skiing is over and the grass is a growin.
Everyone should just go into the forest and sit quietly for a bit. You would be surprised how alive it is! Ski season was pretty disappointing for me this year, but hopefully that will mean I can get into the high country a little earlier than normal!
I really liked your campsite area.
That drone footage of the mountains was beautiful.
The off trails are the best trails. Really enjoyed this 👍🏻👍🏻
It was a really sweet campsite tucked into a random draw on a random ridge! I need to find more of these kinds of places!
Looked Fun! Thanks for sharing!
It always feels good to just be out there!
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing!! 🙏❤️✌️
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Nice getaway. Deep woods and a campfire are excellent choices to get the mind right.✌️
You're 100% right! It's one of the only things that I know will work for me!

Enjoyed, Travis....my kind of campsite. Quiet, secluded, peaceful. Nice outing.
Yes! I need to explore the area some more and see if there are any other gems like this one!

Hemlock and Cedar forests are by far my favorite! The canopy that they make leads to some great campsites!
“Sometimes just sitting out by a fire for a night is all you need” so true man
It is amazing what that can do for a person!

Right on! We'll keep making videos until you can get out here and experience it for yourself!
Love it! We all spend way too much time focused on something happening, great to just stop in one place and soak it in. Cheers!
It is good something to make yourself slow down and just enjoy the present!
Great video brother. Looked like an awesome time in an absolutely gorgeous area!
Thanks, man! It's good to just get out there and take life at a slower pace for a bit!
@@mountainwanderer Anytime man! I couldn't agree more by the way!
Love the Irish.
🍀
that was a nice getaway! Crazy how fast the snow is receding in certain areas!
I'm hoping we can start getting up higher soon! You guys seem to be finding some places to go!
Now that looked like a good time. New glasses? Timber looks great. Take care, Al
Ha! Yes! New glasses. Quite a change up from the style I've been wearing for a while.
@@mountainwanderer Almost didn't recognize you! :)
Another great video, Travis. Thank you. Can’t wait to get back to North Idaho!
Like I always say, North Idaho is an outdoorsman's paradise!

That is true! The places to find solitude are getting fewer, but they are still out there
Great relaxing video, should have seen some Mourning Cloaks butterflies.
I didn't see much flying around except for bees and there wasn't too many of those out.
Love it.. your dog is beautiful
Timber is a good one! A great trail dog who gets a spring in his step when he sees his pack coming out!
Beautiful video!
Looks like you've been catching up! Thanks for watching all of them!
I Love your channel!
I'm so happy you found us! Thanks for checking it out!

I’m not sure get away. Nothing better than a great spot when you can hear others nearby but you know they don’t know where you be.
I had to fight the urge to do a wolf howl or something to freak them out, but in the end, silence was the best! 😂

@@mountainwanderer you're welcome
How bad were the Wood Ticks?
Actually I didn't see any on this trip!
Not as many trees as I remember from back in the late 70s…
Even in the past 5 years or so, the trees around the campground have all had to come down. Who knows when or if it will open again.

Timber is the best!
