I have the GH6. I usually have it on a tripod honestly when I make videos. Kind of heavy to hold on the hand. But I have it for the fan, helps with dissipating heat when recording long videos, which the workouts are when I make them and for the image quality I get from it. Most of the features on the GH6 can be found on the g9ii, not all of the video modes, but most of them. It'll just overheat shooting the videos I shoot outside, Hawaii is hot and humid 365 days a year. I had a Sony mirrorless cameras before, but I had so many problems with heating with them. Thats why I switched to the GH6. Phones are good when traveling and needing to put something out there fast, its no where near the quality of cameras like these though.

I have the G9II and GH6. I loved the GH6 over the G5II I had before but really dislike holding the GH6 because, with its fan, it is just too "fat" (thick) to hold for a long time. Yes, it's excellent on a rig (caged), but I don't use it that way that often. I am selling the GH6 on eBay as I "speak".

Wait, how much you selling it for? Just the GH6 body or with lens(es) and/or accessories?

So for vids do i need a seperate device to record 4k 120 fps with the G9 ii? And can the G9 ii shoot more pixel photos than the Gh6? Thx

The GH6 still is better for longtime recordings in hot environments, for data rich codecs internal to the CF-Express card and RAW-recording via HDMI. There are a few things in usability for video like the lock-switch, the sound setting button, tally lights and we don't know all the details about the G9-II and what is missing in addition.
Over all this isn't a lot and for most people the G9-II is just better in more or less everything.

Except that (according to this video anyways) the G9II shoots only 4:0:2 10 bit video and not 4:2:2

@@intellatek The G9-II (I have bought one) shoots in more or less all the modes the GH6 can do. Some are in h265 and in this case, it is 4:2:0 because most graphic chips in today's computers don't support 4:2:2 with h265 codecs.
h265 is used for the high pixel counts like open gate and 5.7k. So in this modes, it's 4:2:0 just like in the GH6.
