They're a really strange bunch. A woman from work's ex works as one at Lincoln HMP. He beat her up and smokes weed every day. And plays the 'I'll kill myself' card each time she leaves him.
They are all brave when they think they are in control I.e can bully or beat the person up..... In jail they get violent normally when they are in numbers and often when the prisoner is stripped naked and or cuffed at the same time....... In public or down the pub when they have no weapons and no back up gang they don't say a word if there's the slightest chance they will get a good hiding!.... They get random drug testing like the police but both officers don't get tested for steroids or highly elevated levels of testosterone (they should do as an officer with a position of power, "that 99% of the time get away with their fake reports full of lies after, as police especially seem to be believed as seen as perfect well behaved professional people, when many are the total opposite "....officers that are very strong but with a bad temper because of steroid use are far more dangerous to society then an officer that smokes weed in their personal time)...... I'm not saying these screws are users but I've noticed so many male police officers in their early to mid 20's that are way bigger built then they naturally should be...... Steroid users often don't do much cardio and eat right etc so are big and bloated (I've used and have about 30 mates who have done steroids over the years and I can spot a user a mile away)...... Why are screws and police officers not tested for steroids as if they were there would be less aggressive officers abusing their positions

My ex dated a prison gaurd, from what he would tell her it was obvious that they enjoy roughing up the prisoner's at any chance they can for very minor things. I understand prison gaurds have to have a bit of something about them selves in that environment but its clear this guy also has a short temper and takes joy in confrontation or getting physical.

Anything a property owner says is a request. If its reasonable and understandable, then people will follow it. But not petty rules. So no skateboarding in an indoor shopping centre is reasonable. Saying that shoes must be worn and men must wear a shirt in a shopping centre at a seaside town is unreasonable.

In the real world, a home owner can use any force to kick an unwanted visitor out of their home. Their home is their castle. In the real world, a shop owner or business visited by the public have very limited rights to use force. They are restricted by common law and that requires the force to be appropriate and proportionate, and only when all other avenues have failed. Force must be kept to an absolute minimum when it is used.

There are lots of places where its illegal to film. Court buildings from the "precincts" "Inside"(depending on interpretation) prison. GSZ sites, many nuclear sites, places that are "protected sites" under the Official Secrets Act. The legislation is in place but pretty much all of these examples have been targeted with only a few prosecutions. Mostly auditors get away with it when they do step over the line.

6:55 Homes under the Hammer is part of a major organisation and they do everything by the book and they are also over the top in their cautiousness about what they film. They also have lots of money so they will blur things out so that there is not even a chance of a claim against them since some might take that chance. They were more interested in the home being auctioned than the prison so they had no beef with not filming it as it didn't mean anything to them.
As someone who loves watching these videos but doesn't have the bottle to do it myself I wonder if a new tack to take when challenged is to say that you are doing them a favour by highlighting how ridiculous it is that anyone can just come along with a camera and start filming them and their workplace and there is nothing to stop them because the people who make the laws don't care enough to protect them. Public photography laws are what they are to enable so many CCTV cameras to be put up, if they changed the law they'd have to stop filming us so much.

Strange that I've just been watching a series about the Isle of Man prison, and now one about Australian prison life. These all show the outside and inside of prisons, their security measures are included. Yet if anyone wants to film the outside of a prison, staff get all defensive.
That's because they only follow orders, so if the boss says it's ok to film it's ok, fail to give them that order and they have to use their brain, which sadly from these two dimwits is not there, it's as simple as that.

There is no such thing as a private number plate in the the UK as they belong to to DVLA. All they can tell you is if the vehicle is taxed and insured.
Back in the day they made you put a tax disc in the window, I guess that was stopped for security reasons, all that information in the wrong hands etc.

5:15 Oh the videos of prisons have been noticed. And the powers that be in HMP know all too well that they exist. I have heard 2nd hand that HMP are absolutely furious about the videos. But they also know that the moment they go for them and start taking action they would mean clarification of the law and with the law being so vague, there is the serious possibility that they will lose their argument that "inside" includes the "outside" of a prison.

perfectly legal to record car number plates and check if they have tax and m.o.t.. "operation snap"

6:55 Homes under the Hammer is part of a major organisation and they do everything by the book and they are also over the top in their cautiousness about what they film. They also have lots of money so they will blur things out so that there is not even a chance of a claim against them since some might take that chance. They were more interested in the home being auctioned than the prison so they had no beef with not filming it as it didn't mean anything to them.

As someone who loves watching these videos but doesn't have the bottle to do it myself I wonder if a new tack to take when challenged is to say that you are doing them a favour by highlighting how ridiculous it is that anyone can just come along with a camera and start filming them and their workplace and there is nothing to stop them because the people who make the laws don't care enough to protect them. Public photography laws are what they are to enable so many CCTV cameras to be put up, if they changed the law they'd have to stop filming us so much.

Strange that I've just been watching a series about the Isle of Man prison, and now one about Australian prison life. These all show the outside and inside of prisons, their security measures are included. Yet if anyone wants to film the outside of a prison, staff get all defensive.
That's because they only follow orders, so if the boss says it's ok to film it's ok, fail to give them that order and they have to use their brain, which sadly from these two dimwits is not there, it's as simple as that.
From all the videos taken of prisons, it seems that no prison officer has actually read section 40(d) of the Prison Act.

There is no such thing as a private number plate in the the UK as they belong to to DVLA. All they can tell you is if the vehicle is taxed and insured.
Back in the day they made you put a tax disc in the window, I guess that was stopped for security reasons, all that information in the wrong hands etc.

5:15 Oh the videos of prisons have been noticed. And the powers that be in HMP know all too well that they exist. I have heard 2nd hand that HMP are absolutely furious about the videos. But they also know that the moment they go for them and start taking action they would mean clarification of the law and with the law being so vague, there is the serious possibility that they will lose their argument that "inside" includes the "outside" of a prison.
