I started scrapbooking with CM in 2000. This is my kind of scrapbooking! I love the CM motto from back then: "simple pages, completed albums". I love the emphasis on the photos and journalling. If I feel like doing a 'fancy' or challenge page here and there I do but I really love having our family photos and stories in the beautiful CM, lie flat, photo safe albums! This video was just perfect!!! Thanks so much!

Thank you for showing that scrapbook pages require only photos and journaling. This is the way I learned to scrapbook when Creative Memories was known as Shoebox to Showcase. Journaling is an embellishment in itself. I leave special page or title pages for the special effects.
Yes, if you have time for some fancy title pages or occasional special pages, they are definitely fun to make! I'm glad you like the simple pages too. DL
Thank you! I've been scrapbooking for years and like the simple method. All the TH-cam videos I've found so far have way more embellishments and papers than I want to use, plus a lot of stuff I don't have (inks, templates, etc.) I tend to use a little more embellishment than you did here but will be doing a scrapbook for my cousins and I'm going to follow this layout method. Thanks again for the idea!

Do you crop a lot of your 4x6 photos to fit so many on the page? I'm having a hard time and I wasn't sure if yours are slightly shaved to make them fit. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! What size pages are you using? The ones I use in the video measure 12”x12” not including the outside jeeping. So you should be able to get three 4x6 photos across the page. If you have original CM pages (prior to early 2000’s), then they may be slightly smaller than 12x12. Hope this helps! Visit adashofstory.com for more ideas and inspiration. 💙
