Miranda acts so kind and understanding towards Bruce, and yet her words - "do what's necessary" - echo her father's. Her mask slips only briefly here when she sees Catwoman enter, because she sure knows Catwoman isn't with Bane, and is actually surprised. Her face as Bruce leaves is just so satisfying to watch, she knows things aren't going according to her plan and yet she can't say anything in order to keep her cover.
Her saying "Do what's necessary" was a slip in itself, as Bruce walking into Gotham was not in the plan at all. Lucky for her, he didn't catch it as he was too happy seeing Fox still alive. Any other time, he would have caught it and got suspicious. Everything Ras said to him is burned in his mind.
Doesnt sound sincere at all tho. Its incredibly fake and emotionless when she says anything to him. Mindboggling why he fell for her when she acts so soulless, pretending all the time until the reveal.
Talia is plotting later like "At last, I'll have my revenge on Bruce Wayne for killing my father!" and Bane just pipes in with "You know, I've always thought him and Ms. Kyle made a great couple..."
i kinda wish the film didn't have talia be so evil at the end and have some moral fiber..she literally cares about gotham and bruce and had a kid with him in the comics..its stupid how shes just so generic used mostly just as a twist red hearing and then so boringly killed off in this film ...like I get they killed he off so him and selina can be together more naturally but its still stupid ...why kill her off? why have her have no conscious about he father's plan who she sorta resents?...it makes little sense
Miranda's face when Catwoman walks in is the best part of this scene. You'd never notice it during your first viewing of the movie, but that's part of what makes it so good. For once, she was genuinely thrown off because Talia knows that Catwoman isn't part of their plan. It's funny that the guards just assume they're supposed to listen to Catwoman since she walks in so confidently, talking about Bane, and dressed in high tech gear.
I'd also like to point out that she was the first to turn her head. Like the moment she heard Selina's voice, she already knew something was off. Lucius didn't even pay attention until he noticed Talia turning.
You forget Wayne is also a genius. He corrected/updated the software for the B.A.T. so the autopilot actually worked. He also ejected when he shot the building roof and it exploded. That was the distraction and when he bailed out. The autopilot took it from there out to the water/bay. Batman/Bruce wasn't on the B.A.T. past the building explosion.
Yup and he used the sonar concept and turned every cell phones in Gotham so that he could spy on everyone. He also managed to get Wayne Enterprise back in BB. Come on. The guy is a genius. Unfortunately, the Joker was way smarter and threw him off a little.
umm no cuz theres a scene that shows him inside the BAT as it flies off towards the bay, it shows him inside the cockpit thinking to himself, this scene was AFTER the explosion on the tower.

There's a scene when The Bat's flying over the bay when the boosts turn on, I think that's when the Autopilot took control, he programmed it to go straight as far as it could, which makes sense because he didn't spend a lot of time on The Bat before being captured by Bane, so, despite being a genius, he could only have programmed it so much. Anyway that's what I think.
FACT:- This was filmed at Senate House Library, right opposite my University. One time in October 2011 i tried to go in to Senate House to do some studying but was being stopped for some reason. Unusually there were loads of vans parked nearby aswell. Little did i know that Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman and Cillian Murphy were on the other side of the door filming one of the biggest movies in recent history....:-O
I went to school down the road from the new Wayne Manor. For weeks, we couldn’t walk through the park like we normally would. My Drama Teacher was an extra at the opening party scene, and I missed the moment when the great Sir Michael Caine ordered coffee from a cafe nearby.
The reason why Anne is so perfect is because she doesn't seem like the catwoman type at all. She seems so innocent and unassuming which is perfect for her sly and intelligent character.

Fox was just too pre-occupied with what he was doing to fully register what Bruce had said. Which is why at the end, he didn't remember that Bruce had said that, and thus thought he had died, and thus asked his technicians how he could have fixed it.

I don't know why but I found Bruce Wayne's long flowy rock star hair to be so hilarious when they took that sack off him; secondly Anne Hathaway beside being exceedingly beautiful with her long legs and hair and all is such a boss; she really embodied that whole catwomen persona, even in her strut and sashaying in those high heel stilettos and body suit
Lots a clues about Miranda Tate's real identity. In the opening sequence, John Dagget is mocking Bruce Wayne's reclusiveness (peeing into mason jars...) and he confront Miranda who says of his quibbling, "I could try, Mr. Daggett, but you understand only money and the power you think it buys." Later: Bane: Leave us. Daggett: No, stay here! I'm in charge. (Bane places a heavy hand on Daggett's shoulder) Bane: Do you feel in charge? Daggett: (slowly realizing just how screwed he actually is) ...I've paid you a small fortune. Bane: (disapprovingly) And this gives you power over me? Money and the power (Dagget) thought it would buy him!
That probably would have felt a little cheap. Besides, Talia was at her deadliest at Bruce's side (as shown by the reveal of her identity, which was accompanied with a well-aimed knife at a weak point that only someone at Wayne Enterprises would have been able to learn.) In a "fair" fight, Talia would have lost outright.
When Miranda says "Do what's necessary", I knew something was a bit weird, of course, those were the same words her father Ra's said when speaking to Bruce, always talking about "doing what was necessary".
Fox: "I like your girlfriend, Mr. Wayne." Selina: "He should be so lucky." Somehow I get the feeling Bruce does by the time he and Selina both in Italy. ;)

I will miss the playfulness and sarcasm between Bruce, Alfred, and Fox. I always loved their interactions. Batman to them was truly a team effort.

I don't know why but I found Bruce Wayne's long flowy rock star hair to be so hilarious when they took that sack off him; secondly Anne Hathaway beside being exceedingly beautiful with her long legs and hair and all is such a boss; she really embodied that whole catwomen persona, even in her strut and sashaying in those high heel stilettos and body suit
Fox:"I like your girlfriend, Mr. Wayne."
Selina:"He should be so lucky."
Me:"So you directly becomes his wife???"
Lots a clues about Miranda Tate's real identity. In the opening sequence, John Dagget is mocking Bruce Wayne's reclusiveness (peeing into mason jars...) and he confront Miranda who says of his quibbling, "I could try, Mr. Daggett, but you understand only money and the power you think it buys."
Later:
Bane: Leave us.
Daggett: No, stay here! I'm in charge.
(Bane places a heavy hand on Daggett's shoulder)
Bane: Do you feel in charge?
Daggett: (slowly realizing just how screwed he actually is) ...I've paid you a small fortune.
Bane: (disapprovingly) And this gives you power over me?

That probably would have felt a little cheap. Besides, Talia was at her deadliest at Bruce's side (as shown by the reveal of her identity, which was accompanied with a well-aimed knife at a weak point that only someone at Wayne Enterprises would have been able to learn.) In a "fair" fight, Talia would have lost outright.

When Miranda says "Do what's necessary", I knew something was a bit weird, of course, those were the same words her father Ra's said when speaking to Bruce, always talking about "doing what was necessary".

Gotham City is like New York, it's massive. With hundreds if not thousands of high rises. It's understandable.
Just Manhatten though? I thought it was only that small portion, since all the bridges to the other islands were destroyed or blocked off.

What is the point of going up every building? To find hidden treasure? Their plan was to blow up the city with an atomic bomb, not profit off this extended occupation.
Autopilot? That's what you're there for... ... if you only knew.
subtle bit of acting but if you watch bruce is trying to get fox to see that the auto pilot has been fixed by mentioning it...and when fox ignores it sorta trying to be witty and is too busy distracted to notice bruce gets upset lol and leaves the fame

you really have to watch this film more than once. in order to pick up on the subtle foreshadowings. really great film.
One detail I love is that when Bruce and fox are in the bunker from tdk, you can see the gauntlets from Batman begins and the parachute that he used when capturing Lao in tdk are in his armory
I like how they go back to his fallback bunker. Nice touch.

It's amazing to me how incredibly empty the Batcave looks from The Dark Knight, in the middle of the room was where the Bat Tumbler used to be. Old times, thank God Bruce had a spare suit cause I don't know how he could have fought Bane without it.
