    To be honest I thought Horizon was weak. Its impossible to follow and I really didn't care for any of the people in any of the plot lines. It was way too long and boring. 6/10 at best

    Well sure I guess, but so would investing $40 million in the market.

    Quiet Place 3 is weak. Loved the first two, but not this one. The cat is completely ridiculous, and there’s zero chemistry between the two leads. Lotta other problems, too. End it, please.

    Weirdest movie ever. Great points about how Costner and Luke Wilson come in right in at the 1 and 2 hour points.

    Could you please explain why you have no problem posting spoilers on the day a movie is released instead of waiting, say a week, for the 99%of the public who has yet to see the movie, to go and see the movie, yet you won't post spoilers in you HOF episodes because you want to give people a chance to run out and see a 30 year old movie? Doesn't quite make sense. Do better.

    You guys are talking like this would’ve been an amazing smash hit TV show. That makes me more excited for this than if you said it was a good stand alone movie to be fair. This movie in four parts will be gold if brought to streaming

      Personally think that all of the storylines being crammed in one movie hurts it. If the different stories were introduced across different episodes, allowing better pacing for each plot line and less disruption, it would be more engaging. But when you have to cram it all into 3 hours, it gets real messy real fast and I don't know that spread across multiple movies will help. It needs more space than the framework of film allows.

      @@cadeonder3793 oh 100% it has its faults. It ends terrible. Odd way of doing things. It’s no Dances with Wolves but I still think this has crazy potential with all 4 because of Dances with Wolves.

    • @cadeonder3793

      @@MichaelPK03 Agreed, I am still interested to see how part 2 fares. I think if that’s a dud, then I will lose total faith in the grand plan lol the closing montage teaser for part 2 made it a bit easier to see the vision. I can kinda see how some of these plots may begin to converge, I just hope the pacing is better. Really felt like this one lacked any kind of narrative momentum. Still can’t deny it’s cool to see guys shooting revolvers and firing rifles from horseback though!

    I saw them both on Friday and liked them very much. I'm all in on Horizon 2 because you rarely see westrerns on the big screen and it was beautifully shot. And the last microsecond shot of Day One...WOW.

    Explain how a quiet place is “right wing nuclear family coded.” Because it features a nuclear family it’s right wing? How? It doesn’t make any statement about the “nuclear family” in comparison to any other sort of family configuration. Should Jon K have looked into the camera and told the audience that all families are valid? Why cede such an innocuous thing to the right wing? (Coincidentally Ben Shapiro also thinks A Quiet Place is right wing because it’s pro life because the couple doesn’t abort their baby. So by extension I suppose any movie where an abortion doesn’t happen is a right wing movie?)

    • @unropednope4644
      @unropednope4644 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      She doesn't say right wing if you listen harder. If you're immediately going to that then you are very defensive of right wing ideologies being offended.

    • @RIP_Greedo
      @RIP_Greedo 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@unropednope4644if you observe my critique of Shapiro’s ridiculous interpretation then you might get a clue that I’m not defensive of right wing ideologies. What I am annoyed by is the tendency to over policitize even the most innocuous aspects of any movie.
      I watched this again and yes you’re right she doesn’t say “right wing.” What does she say, “right man?” But my reaction stands all the same because she couldn’t be clearer in critiquing the movie for being “nuclear family coded.” What does that mean? Why is it a bad thing, and what should the movie have done to be acceptable in this respect? A movie parents fighting for their and their children’s survival now has some sort of odious political coding? Cut it out, people.

      She says "Reitman" not right wing. Nuclear families are not a political stance. Her point is that it's more understandable that parents or siblings would go further to protect members of their immediate family than a complete stranger or a cat. She's not trying to politicize anything here
