If I could choose a person to have their technique...it'd be Toma for the snatch and gabriel for the Clean and jerk...both Romanian 😅 are the Romanians very technique dominant or are these 2 just good
Very informative video ! :-) I noticed, while front squatting, you seem to _intentionally_ do a slight "knee caving in" during the ascent. Do you do that intentionally? asking for a friend 😀 I found out just recently, after a lifetime of feeling a bit "suffocated" while front squatting (short torso, long femurs) that "knees caving in" causes "nutation" of the pelvis, causing more _tilted forward sacrum bone_ . And - I thought - If the lumbar spine, that rests on the sacrum, is tilted more forward, _I won't have to bend forward in a higher position, for example at the thoraco-lumbar joint_ (which seems to cause the "suffocated" feeling) in order to maintain equilibrium on mid-foot and not fall back. It seems to work for me. Is that why you do that?
I'm not doing intentionally, that is a strategy of our body to produce force. Femur is doing an internal rotation when im trying to go up from the hole, feet are in pronation and from there is apearing that knee cave.
Gabriel, have you considered offering some coaching courses? I've been weightlifting for 6 years now, and I'd love to start a bit of coaching others on the side
Thank you for your video!! Btw, I kinda have dumb questions about the squats, and I want to know why Olympic Weightlifters tend to perform squats without safety or a spotter? Is it because there is no point in safety/spotter when you can just drop the bar, or does it have any special meaning to perform the squat by yourself? I just thought about it and I just want to know what you think about this because you are an actual "Olympic Weightlifter"!!
