The 747 is the most graceful and beautiful aircraft ever produced. (my opinion). Juan, what a fantastic
video production. Whenever I see a 747, it takes me back to May of 1991. My wife and I flew to Frankfort
and spent 2 weeks in Germany, France and Luxembourg. The trip was to visit our son coming home from
the gulf war. What a memory flying on that 747 leaving MIA. Just before takeoff, I observed a thunderstorm
quickly forming, so I thought we would wait it out on the ground. Boy was I wrong, we rolled down the runway
up we went. As we were climbing at full power we were head on into that storm and hit a micro burst unscathed
except for my right thigh. My wife cliched down on that muscle so hard that a bruise formed almost immediately.
Anyhow, bless you Juan and your photographer for outstanding shots and thank you for the awesome interview.
    Stay Safe, Bee Well. Shalom

Demonstrates the superior ability to gain understanding of systems required to competently fly this category of aircraft. Juan has demonstrated it, Marco just demoed his knowledge _and_ knowledge retrieval system, sadly not everyone flying airliners has it, as the crash record demonstrates. Everyone _riding_ this type of aircraft, deserves to have both pilots with this level of dedication and ability.

Even in 2020 people are always amazed seeing her takeoff and land. Just imagine how people felt seeing her fly the first time in 1969. There is a couple of documentaries about the first 747 and most people didn't even believe that she will get off the ground. In one of those documentaries they show her landing and you can hear one of the engineers yelling "Speed, speed!!!" because the 747 looks very slow when landing and the guy thought they were gone stall.

Suggestion idea: create a "logo" for each side of the tanker of a cartoon character of a kid firing off a super soaker & a stream of splashing water. Have the words "super soaker" beneath the picture! This would obviously require prior permission from the Super Soaker manufacturer, or whoever holds the patent/legal rights to the name but it seems to me that a free advertising opportunity like this would be a no-brainer plus the positive P.R. for the makers of Nerf Super Soakers (& similar super "squirt gun" makers) of showing support for fire fighters should be seen as win-win! It would be like the nose art found on WW2 era military bombers! 👍

Whether the Queen of the skies is carrying passengers, freight or suppressant and water, she still remains THE most impressive sight on approach to land....and what a beautiful opening that was, showing her in her element.
The remainder of the video was no less impressive, and the deckof that beauty was simply phenomenal.
Certainly did not realise there was such a system to various different dispersal methods there were dependent on the type of fuel the fire feeds off, one of the most impressive and interesting videos you've posted, that's not really in relation to an issue (i.e. a plane crash, dam rebuild or 737 Max update 😂😂).
Absolutely loved it, and kudos to the Marcos, the other pilots and all involved with not just the 747, but all the aerial bombers involved in the summers across the world...firefighting would be a far different and dangerous occupation without these invaluable aircraft.
    Cheers from Aus!!!!

Thanks Juan, that was a great tour. As a retired firefighter (engineer, Orange County Fire Authority) I have been on many wildland fires. I wore 2 hats , type 1 engine and a type 3 engine, most of my fires were in southern Calif. The type of planes I'm used to were S-2s, C119 and helos, got dropped on a few times....not fun , thanks again, great Vlog

You are right. The company that owned this plane sold this 747-400 global firefighting aircraft (minus the RDS) to National cargo after financial difficulty during covid. National re-converted it to a freighter for delivery service in operation currently. They also sold the retardent delivery system (RDS) to another U.S. company, who is currently finalizing it's conversion of a 747-200 with the RDS system that was initially in the 747-400 in the video here. After testing and government approval, we will hopefully see this enter service this year in 2023 so we will once again have a 747 global fire tanker back in the air.

The plane has been converted back to a standard freighter now and is being used by National Airlines on it's network, still painted in the super tanker livery which National have adopted as their 30th anniversary colour scheme. It now has tail number N936CA. I saw it over my home in Milton Keynes, UK recently on it's way from the US to Ramstein in Germany.

The world quickly moves on, and equipment of all kinds goes out of fashion just as quickly, except when it’s just the best tool for the job. A lot of really old aircraft do freight and firefighting (and passengers) under the worst of conditions all over the world. This is something that many people have no idea about. Thanks for helping to educate and inform.👍🏼👍🏼
