Great video and nice crossing! IMHO, there's something really nice about getting to hear diesel locomotives that are working very hard and making a lot of noise as a result. The CR 1343 crossing in Vinemont, AL, can be fun to shoot at for that reason, as southbound trains have to work hard (I believe usually running in notch 8) to tackle the uphill grade heading through that part of the Holmes Gap, and as the county backroad it's on is a bit quieter, it feels like you can hear an approaching southbound from about a mile or more off.
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings It is! Admittedly, I don't head there too often, as you don't exactly get a great view down the tracks in either direction for approaching trains, and the equipment there ain't too interesting (it's a late-2000s/early-2010s CSX install that had its original Safetran Type 3 e-bells replaced with NEG e-bells), but I do have a few videos there on my channel. That being said, if you want to hear large GEs and EMDs (and the occasional 4-axle EMD) giving it their all, it's definitely a good place to go to! It's also on the CSX S&NA North Sub, so it tends to be decently busy.
Brilliant Videos and Catches! Nice Intro too! 👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent video and nice catches 👍
Nice one!

That sounds like an amazing place to film!

I drive past there 3 days a week
Was hoping to spot my car on Tonbridge road 😂😂 on route to and from college
That is some deafening thrash! How often do you see class 56s
They're quite rare as freight locomotives go, really. This particular working seems to have one on it quite often, though
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings where i live sometimes you don't see 56s for years
