MAH-tee........... Do you know why we love to watch these videos? Because they are soooooo satisfying. After all of the destruction, smashing, ripping apart, and throwing things away in the trash, it is just satisfying to watch someone take what is nearly destroyed and make it like new again. oh, thank YOU , our "MAH-tee"!
Just happened upon your channel and just loved it. I am a long time matchbox collector (over 55 yrs) and watching this may have given me something to do as I retire with my love of matchbox toys other that just to collect them . Thank you for the great detail and in depth explanation. Great enjoyment. Joe
This is incredible!! When this pandemic is over you should tour the world with all your masterpieces! I would gladly pay good money to watch them, and I know I wouldn´t be the only one! Congratulations!!
Marty gets a like before I even start the video because I know this very crusty truck will look brand new once it's finished and I wish I could get just 10% of the result myself
You resurrected that dump truck back from the DEAD!! You breathed life back into that model, and that is why I appreciate what you do. Keep up the great work!
You have a Beechcraft Baron!!!! That's what I work on everyday in real Life!!! I take care of the paint at delivery. What I've done the last 20 yrs!!!! Rebuild it!!!!
Marty, Hello from Lewisburg, Tennessee, USA. I watch your show with my 3 year old son we are both thoroughly entertained and love your projects! I must say this particular project impressed me as when you started trying to rebuild the ladder with JB Weld I was thinking there is NO WAY this is going to come out good. I was WRONG! Bravo! Your techniques and skill with them may be unorthodox, but are impressive none the less!
Hi Marty grate job on the truck. Some gas guitar nut needle files for a welding touch may be a handy addition to your toolbox ( very fine files for a gas welding
Part of my regular Sunday morning entertainment, Marty! Another super job and very elaborate green screen work. Much appreciated! :-) Best regards from Germany, Volker
Definitely one the most difficult restorations you’ve ever done but the results are outstanding. Quite possibly the best work you’ve done so far. You’re really raising the bar for yourself.
Slowly making my way through all your vids Marty and I have to say this one the No28d Mack Dump Truck and the No 64a Scammell Breakdown Truck were pretty far gone, but you persisted and I think they turned out pretty well considering what you had to work with. Awesome job mate!
Love your work. I've got a little collection going myself that me and my sons have put together over the years. I've got one little lesney dump truck that is like a little more info on if you could.
Also, those poor axles were completely corroded. They weren't metal anymore, just lumps of rust. Vinegar is good at removing rust from metal, giving it a day or two, but for such an ordeal, some specific chemicals are needed, or physical removal of the rusted parts and replacements, as they'll never going to be useful again...
Great job. You've become sort of the internet leader of Matchbox restorations with work like this. Cheers!
JT Michaelson I’ve tried watching others and just not impressed by them. I can’t wait for MMM to air a new episode!
Craig King just watched one of his shows. The Gremlin. He even mentioned Marty in it talking about the baking soda trick.
@Craig King I watch and love them both.
Definitely the best I've seen.
Imo baremetal is the best restoration channel, he mostly restores hot wheels tho. but he does some matchbox restorations as well
You did a WONDERFUL job with the truck! IT looked wasted to begin with! And I enjoyed the last PART of this video! LOL! 😆✌HAHAHA ! VERY FUNNY, Marty!
You inspire so much people, congratulations Marty!
Since you are returning this week, I thought I'd watch some of your older videos. Afterall, you inspired me into this hobby.
For thirty years what was once blind can now see. Ol'chap makes TH-cam what it should be.
For me the best one yet,a proper resto
Absolutely amazing work. There must be some magic in those hands.
Wow, that model came back from the dead. Very appropriate with Easter coming up.
MAH-tee...........

I'm becoming more and more convinced there's no Matchbox you can't make-over. Amazing toy resurrection! Cheers.
That work on the ladder is what makes the difference between a car painter and an artist. Great job!
A joy to see you enjoy your hobby. Everyone should find a relaxing while challenging thing to do.
Great job! That was not far from being scrap. But you brought it back from the brink. Nice one!
u did great job
Marty you are a miracle worker. I showed the video to my wife and she couldn't believe it.
A dirty job, but somebody had to do it! It turned out really well Marty, top notch!!!
You did magic on this little truck, well done!!!
I finished watching the entire video. I'd say you are truly "A Craftsman" Well done Mate, Cheers Tom, USA

Wow. From so rough to looking pretty good Marty. Nice work saving that one.
Great job ! I may have to look around the flea markets now to find me some old toys to try restoring .
Marty . . .
this was realy your MASTERPIECE. CONGRATULATION. I'm realy impressed. Super!
Hajo from Germany
I'm surprised you got it looking so good. Fantastic.
I think it looks beautiful. You did a great job. Keep the videos coming
From artist to specialist.
The truck looks beautiful!
I have to say, that your prefessional level is really higher now! Amazing work!
You are the master matchbox restorer Marty. You have made a silk purse. Excellent!
Just.......WOW!
Excellent work but your particular use of the JB Weld is fantastic
bugler75 yeah that surprised me as well!
m3 is a master of models.
Has to be your best makeover yet.
This is so cool, after 40 years of being forgotten and buried in the ground left to rot, this toy dump truck finally has a new lease on life.
A triumph! I love it. Quality work from a quality restorer.
Dont under state your makeover. That was a Great job!!!! Till next time
What Randy said which is pretty much what I was going to say!
Indeed, a miracle.
You gave new life to that little Matchbox, thus a miracle
Marty gets a like before I even start the video because I know this very crusty truck will look brand new once it's finished and I wish I could get just 10% of the result myself
Amazing work... I would have offered to give it a proper funeral; never would I have considered such an undertaking!
That's a beautiful dressing gown mate it really suits you
I think Marty was smoking in his favorite pijamas with his buddy Kevin (that naughty Koala bear) ! (>_< )
Amazing job, complete turn around from what you started with!
I think the pitting gives it character almost like the real Machine
You resurrected that dump truck back from the DEAD!! You breathed life back into that model, and that is why I appreciate what you do. Keep up the great work!
You did an amazing job on that truck. Please keep up the good work.
My goodness, what a fantastic restoration...thank you for sharing
You are most welcome Val!
Excellen work, Marty! The model cam back to life, thank to your hand of gold!
Amazing work! I would say you did, indeed, make something of a silk purse after all. That is a wonderful restoration!
Wow -- that epoxy work to fix the steps was excellent. I wouldn't have thought it would work nearly so well.
BEST MAKEOVER EVER! Bravo, Marty!
I drive dump trucks every day! Love your vids Marty. Keep it up!
that was a great job, and in my opinion, the fact that the metal is scarred by the rust is part of the charm of it being an old metal toy.
From Siberia with respect. You are real Master! Wonderful job and chanel!!!
New subscriber. Sory for English.
Иван Подвечерок I was born in Siberia.
Your English perfect! Yes... Marty is a real master!
You’re English is perfect, don’t worry
Your english is just fine. Greetings from Germany.
These almost hopelessly deteriorated models really allow you to showcase your creativity and considerable skills. Awfully nice restoration, Marty!
Awesome video
You personal touch is TV quality!
The best job ever....
I loved my Mack dump truck. Great to see this makeover.
No pain … no gain :) another junk to gem piece of genius well done.
Two words, Mind blown. You can be proud of that one, Marty. Absolutely stunning restoration.
You have a Beechcraft Baron!!!! That's what I work on everyday in real Life!!! I take care of the paint at delivery. What I've done the last 20 yrs!!!! Rebuild it!!!!
Quick Google suggests this is a Dinky. Is it Marty?
Nigel M I remember having both a Dinky Baron and Bonanza way back when. Eventually had a real Baron too! Don’t think Matchbox did these.
@@captainvector Buy a New one Lad. We can make Ya one!!! Nice new Color Schemes. Glass Cockpit now. Garmin
Randy Herbrechtsmeier I had a chance to tour the factory in Wichita a while back. Been saving my pennies ever since!
@@captainvector Be Happy to See Ya. We are always here
the original owner absolutely needs to see this model. Not just in video, but in person too if possible. Would be a nice throwback for him I'm sure.
That's the best make over yeat. Really impressed with the jbweld saves. Great job.
I agree. That latter was amazing
That frkn ladder...Ninja!!!🥋
Unbelievable transformation! You have me itching to try some of this myself.
Genial saludos de chile!!!!!!....

Turned out pretty freaking nice Marty! Especially liked how you rebuilt the ladder and axle supports.
Man that was a great makeover. Good save! Looks Factory new. You really do great work. Thanks for posting!
Today was not just a restoration, today was real magic. Thanks for the video.
Hi Marty grate job on the truck. Some gas guitar nut needle files for a welding touch may be a handy addition to your toolbox ( very fine files for a gas welding
And they say miracles doesn't happen anymore.....You proved them wrong. Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice job, Marty. I love what you do. Keep up the good work.
You did an amazing job! Completely brought it back to life! ❤️
Whoever let you get a greenscreen is a madman. I love it
I think it's one of the more dramatic makeovers - well done.
Nothing further to add about the bunny robe ....
“You can’t make a silk purse from a sows ear.” - Martys Mum.
I quite like that expression it’s brilliant.
It's a really old expression, probably from around the mid 1500's.
Marty, you’re just what the doc ordered! I’ve been crook, laid up in hospital for a week and I come and find this! Thanks!
Part of my regular Sunday morning entertainment, Marty!

I’m impressed! Saying hello, from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷.
Marty, you a miracle worker ....this was a fantastic makeover!!
Wow that really is very crusty I remember seeing this from your unboxing video during the week
Fantastic 👍 ..... 👋 from Las Vegas......
I think You Did A Great Job you have made a beautiful model from rubbish
Amazing, I love watching your Matchbox car makeovers. You do such a wonderful job.
I think you did make a “silk purse” my good sir...of course you started with a “diamond in the rough”!
Why im looking at this? why i cant keep myself from watching this guy enjoying himself restoring old toys...
Slowly making my way through all your vids Marty and I have to say this one the No28d Mack Dump Truck and the No 64a Scammell Breakdown Truck were pretty far gone, but you persisted and I think they turned out pretty well considering what you had to work with.
Awesome job mate!
Excellent work... making me want to dig out an airbrush I had 30 yrs ago and try. Thank you for an entertaining channel.
Idea- use a water pic to power wash
I tried it on one I bought and it cleaned it beautifully and quickly
wow wow wow, such a great transformation, top class work Marty.
Always wanted to be the fool that says this....’First’

Your life is complete now.
These are the restos I like the best. What seems impossible turns out amazing. Brilliant work Marty.....and film crew.
How amazing looks worse than the one I sent marty well done
I loved it, Marty, as usual. That truck almost looks new, especially seeing what you started with. Thanks for posting.
Love your work.
I've got a little collection going myself that me and my sons have put together over the years.
I've got one little lesney dump truck that is like a little more info on if you could.
The truck looks great Marty, and the pitting gives it character.
"can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear" - brilliant.
Wow! That's very impressive! What a trasformation! It came out looking great!😎👍
I think, vinegar or Coca-Cola didn't work in a short period.. It takes a very long time..
Anyway, nice restoration 👍👍👍
Also, those poor axles were completely corroded. They weren't metal anymore, just lumps of rust.
Vinegar is good at removing rust from metal, giving it a day or two, but for such an ordeal, some specific chemicals are needed, or physical removal of the rusted parts and replacements, as they'll never going to be useful again...
The best restoration so far. Take a bow!
To remove rust this is what you want: WD-40 Specialist Rust Remover Soak
Ultrasonic cleaner and some rust removal detergent is best.
One of the best and most challenging makeovers yet. Very much enjoyed the video. Great job!
The make overs are cool, but I really just want to see the supermarket tabloid headlines
