Rose’s cooking is so labor intensive. Look at all the work that went into preparing that meal. But it is done with so much love and patience. I did not know lotus flowers were edible. I learn something new every day.

Yes! There are a few tv shows from China like this one. They're very good. Then there are just some people, no tv crew, trying their best to create this on their own channels. A lady right now in Tanzania with her Chinese husband and 2 kids. It's a good one too but it's not as fancy as this one, they don't have a tv crew.

Hello Rose and Mr Wu Jain yun. I think you guys are adorable and hubby is right. Its funny that father in laws are so easy cause you can always buy something to drink( tea, coffee, alcohol) , but Moms are hard. When I first met my mother in law I brought her seeds because she was a gardener and i wrote a little note telling her i would give her certain amount of hours in her garden on a saturday she chose to help her plant her seeds. She was ecstatic and we bonded over the gift and the time we spent in her garden. Great since I love to garden too. We had a great relationship. Miss her still.

Да ладно...если по- русски написано, вы бы это ели? Смотрю ,потомучто зрелищно, честно говорю, вряд-ли мне вкусно сало, кости, цветы...даже если полить соевым соусом , положить перец Чили, это вообще в рот не взять... Зачем лукавить? Семья очень позитивная и на этом всё.
Во первых, я люблю сало и всё, что перечислили... во вторых наши кухни очень схожие, мне нравится всё, что здесь готовят. Я кореянка и китайская кухня мне близка. А так конечно, на вкус и цвет, товарищей нет.

I would suggest solar powered items like lamp/lantern, powerbank…. Any Electronic item she can use off grid…. Then also build her fireplace with smoke chimney like the one you all have at home. My 2 cents

Wow… not only that I know Chinese eat almost everything that moves on earth , never wasting any part of the animal but I didn’t know that everything about the lotus flower can be cooked and eaten .. Petal and all .. Who ever thought of deep frying the petal.. so amazing .. No wastages.. 😃
Take pickles, shoyu & fish sauces, dried mushrooms, sesame oil, ingredients to cook the family Chinese food. The cookie/cake mould. Some ointments, anti viral medicines for malaria.
