Interesting recipe. I will try it with my ground corn. We usually make a steamed pudding with palm kernel juice, sugar,fresh blended habanero peppers and onions, steamed a leaf similar to banana leaf. We call it Jemi Jemi in my native tongue which translates to 'eat me'.

What a beautiful sight! The whole family together, sharing a beautiful meal that was so very time consuming to make. My husband is Hispanic. Even though I’m of Japanese descent, my food of choice-ever since childhood has been Mexican food. I use a corn flour called ‘Maseca,’ to make tamales, gorditas, and pupusas. Your dish reminded me of pupusas. 😊 Thank you for sharing! I’d love to know what type of veggies are in your preserved veggie mix. Take care!!

Theirs is different. But, look so yummy. I do my hot water cornbread with buttermilk cornmeal. But, make mine sometimes dumpling style. My mother showed me how. It’s good when you can’t fry them.
No, we don't. What they made is different. It also used rice flour. Ours doesn't.

You guys are so funny😂.I grew up in the Caribbean and we cooked simular food like you,from the garden to the table.My grandparents will grind the corn in a mill like what you did in this video. Their's had 2 handles and stood on the ground held up by wooden a plank.
