No one's talking about the monitor time?

The person giving birth decides how that will go unless there's a medical need to deviate from the plan. This is true whether it's the mother that will be raising the child, a gestational carrier, or a birth mother whose child is being adopted. No one can be in that room without the permission of the person giving birth. It's natural to want to watch your child/grandchild/nibbling be born. But if the one giving birth says you can't, that's the end of it. Or in this case, you may want to deliver the baby, but that doesn't mean you get to.

Have any male best friends? I bet the last thing your husband wants is watching another man hold his wife's hand while she's birthing. SO... tell him your male best friend will be happy to.

This american thing of having the father there during the delivery is so cringe.

Might I ask, why do you think that? I’m not trying to be critical or rude but I find your perspective interesting and would love to hear more on your opinion. I disagree with the current opinion you have, but I would still like to see your point of view and understand others who share your opinion. :)
