This segment was on the Mr. Peabody & Sherman 2014 Blu-ray release. What’s interesting about it is that the Sheriff of Nottingham is caricatured after Howard Cosell.
The facial caricature can be of Howard Cosell, but the manner of speech sounds similar to the Captain Bligh character, played by Charles Laughton, in the 1930s movie: "Mutiny on the Bounty.'
So Prince John looks beheaded to me is what Peabody has said which was the pun. I now know that Robin Hood was often called the prince of thieves. His activities took place in an 1180 Nottingham, Great Britain. I also noticed that the word sheriff came from the name of the place called Sherwood Forest, not just Saxon Shirrev. 🇬🇧

@@bloqk16 Keith Scott claims that the Sheriff looks like Laughton as well.
Robin Hood is a literature character
Oh so Rocky, Bullwinkle, Mr. P and Sherm are REAL?😮🤓😎✌🏻
Reading the title of the video: "Peabody's _Improbable_ History" indicated the disclaimer made on the subject matter.

That’s a 12 on that chart. Animation goof, no doubt.
I happen to be rereading a book on the making of the series, and it's a miracle there weren't more goofs like that.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that. Friar Tuck *did* mention the holiday season was imminent-so that 12 actually means December.

I thought Robin Hood was fictional
