I think the performance should get better with time. I have 152 games running full speed at 2-3x resolution on a Note 10+ with a Snapdragon 855. This app gets updated all the time so you should be getting better speed.

Also do you know what sort of save file format the emulator uses? I have saves that I created on PCSX2 on the PC that I'm hoping to import to Play!, but have entirely no idea how to do that.

How did it work? I’m tempted to switch from psp emulation over to ps2. The quality of ps2 looks so much better than psp :/ PSP games on ppsspp run without JIT tho, play! Require JIT enabled I hear.
The CPU is more powerful but this is not the reason. Android has over 25,000 different phones from hundreds of different manufacturers where Apple only has 33 iPhones meaning developers have much less work to do when creating applications for iOS. it's the same reason why Snapchat and Instagram pics and videos look better on iOS. less coding and optimisation needed for a smaller amount of phones.
@@rabbitgame yeah exactly that. I'm an Android guy but can say iPhone is very much more capable of emulation more so because the chip and how the os is intergrated. Of course Android has advantage of more easier to have emulators and more like file movement but overall I am impressed with apple
Android is getting to the point the chips are getting strong enough to emulate some consoles games better than pc. I’ve seen computers that can’t even emulate GameCube well or ps2 and they are running even on a few years older android chips at full 60 frames
