I had no idea that the rubber keeper strap doubled up as a trivet! I wish the labels on the base had a removable adhesive… trying to remove it was a pain and when I tried to burn it off I just made even more mess! You can slide the crimp up the handle of the pan to stop the rattle and make it more stable as a handle. Agreed… it’s a very nice set…. I’ve got two sets… one in each of my camper vehicles.
Nice review. We got the 2 person set recently for an upcoming trip and my wife and I were discussing the holes on the plates / bowl and what they are for. They feel like they should have something that clips into them so you can hold it steady but obviously there isnt anything included to do that. Does anyone know if they have a function? Is there an additional purchase that needs to be made perhaps?
I'm not sure. Maybe it's to hang them or to keep them together using a carabiner? Everything is really nicely made, I would happily recommend the sets to anyone.
Hello finjibuns FYI: To quote from the Decathlon product page "The plates have a loop to hang them up and dry them faster..." - But I went to Poundland and bought a pack of (multi-coloured) electrical adhesive tape rolls. Cut a little strip of 4 different colours and added as a 'tab' onto each set of cutlery, cups and plates. It means each person has their own (dedicated) set and if set down on a picnic table or used for juice all day (everyone knows their own cup etc.). I guess it won't help you and the wife, but saves arguments between kids LOL! Also, they have to wash their own dishes too 😀
good review. the set is only good for a stove not over a campfire. The plastic on the handles is junk that melts and the inner coating is no good if you cook over an actual fire .
Buy this from Decathlon here: tidd.ly/3HSrbY0
This was our first cookset from Decathlon - we used it more than 100 times and are still very happy. The quality is really outstanding.

Can the bowl handle high temp? Id like to use it for really hot soup and ramen
Yes, the bowls are really well made and thick.
Its crap that melts so fast
