It would make sense that a Gerber rep is going to do such a good job, but this is actually the best video I’ve seen presenting this product line. Nicely done!
I have this set, except for the cutting board and knives, and it is very well made and high quality. The sauté pan and stock pot are very beefy, with a thick base that heats evenly. These are definitely not cheap, thin, aluminum backpacking pots and pans. The plates and bowls are so good, I bought two sets, to have extras. I look forward to getting the cutting boards and knives soon.
I am honestly looking for justification to buy a bunch of gear. It would be wonderful day trip or light car camping gear (would replace a Dutch oven). Quality looks good (we have beloved Gerber multitools and have had good support). Great presentation
I just bought the JetBoil Genesis Cook Set. I really like the stove, but I wasn’t happy with the performance of the Pot and Pan that came with the cooker. Does the Gerber Cook Set fit nicely on the JetBoil Cooker? If so, I will buy it….for sure.
Hey! While you certainly can bring normal cookware from your home, alot of the features in the Gerber ComplEAT sets are made specifically for outdoor camping. Things like durable and non-breakable plates and bowls, detachable arms for pots and pans, nesting capabilities for when you are short on space, and secure and compact storage for knifes and other sharp items. We think these items will make camp cooking a little easier, but at the end of the day, you can totally use what you like!
Pretty disappointing they chose to coat the skillet despite it being carbon steel and capable of being seasoned. They even express the need to season it when it clearly has a "teflon" like coating on top and is not in fact bare metal like in common carbon steel pans.
Hey there. Sorry for the confusion. It can be a bit hard to tell with the food cooking but these pans are not "non-stick" and, as such, do not have a teflon coating. The cooking surface is bare stainless steel. The plates and bowls are polypropylene.

Solid choices with well thought out solutions to common issues. Really liked the slot to slide the utensil through on the plates.
This is great! Really well thought out and compact!
Love to hear it!

I go camping a lot that looks fantastic will be ordering that cook set
I have a Stanley cook set that is similar. Now I wish it had the mixing bowl that the Gerber set has!
You had me at bottle opener.

Thanks! We found it's a pretty great kit for car camping, or even the outdoor cookout.
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸🇺🇸Nice camping gadget video 🌷

Thanks for the presentation. Can the pan and pot be used on low flame wood fire?
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the pan can be used on an open flame.
Open flame with the handles attached?
What about the two types of stoves that you used in this video?
Gone make Snow Peak cry!
Is the no-stick skillet able to be used on induction cook tops. It should be, being carbon steel, just checking.
Great question. you are correct, this one can be used on an induction stovetop.
do you guys deliver to United Arab Emirates, are you at Amazon?
I dont understand camping cookware. Why does it need to be any different unless it needs to be backpack weight?

@@Huckberryco I was referring to the nonstick skillet in the later half of the video. The ones gerber refer to on their website as non stick
@@roberttaylor9259 So don't buy that piece, everything else looks good!
