I believe Robyn was looking for someone to take care of her and her kids without having to work or contribute anything. She absolutely jumped on Kody when she found out about the show. I’m not sure she even likes Kody that much. I think she has done what she needed to do to be okay financially. When the money runs out she will leave Kody.
And she won this round.
Robyn said once that she doesn't even care what the guy looks like. She wanted a good guy and a good provider. 🙄
I can totally see Robyn leave, and I think she's already figured out how much she will get, once leaving.

Kody's narcissism doesn't allow him to take ownership. We've seen him refuse to answer questions, refused to re-watch scenes.
"I'm not up for any criticism right now".
"I don't want to talk about her" (about Robyn/tell all).
"I'm not watching that clip again" (fight with Janelle/Look Back).
"I don't want to talk about Christine any more" (tell all)
"That's the most unfair question" (about Robyn being the favorite wife/tell all)

The therapist said that after Robyn's divorce she was unfettered and then Kody came along. I'm not so sure I agree. I think she found out about the show, stalked the Brown's, THEN got her divorce and set her plan to work to win Kody for the $$ she thought the show would bring.

That’s very possible. Her ex is Christine’s cousin so she might’ve heard stuff through the grapevine. And yes, it was at least two years between Robyn and Preston’s separation and the divorce. Although Preston was the one to file so that was his timing.
Pretty confident divorce records show HER EX HUSBAND initiated the divorce, and this was WAY before sister wives show. I think she was stuck and desperate with all her debt she accrued, then heard about the show and made her moves.
Kody telling he was deceived by Meri. What about himself? I don't think any of the wives (not even Robyn) thought that they'd be in a relationship with a delusional, raging narcissist.

@@alongfellow4147 Do you remember how Kody + Christine got into a fight about a carbdoard boat they were building? That probably was the first time I saw him rage. I found him intimidating. He doesn't deserve air time.... Just my opinion.
All of Kody’s relationships are transactional. None of their therapy seems to have been effective!
I think the over-concern about “respecting polygamy” trumped the concern about the wives being respected as individuals.
I think that Kody (and his narcissism) would need an intensive and long-lasting therapy. So far, my take is, they were merely scratching the surface a little bit.
The fact that he said ti the therapist that he's not willing to take any criticisms says a lot!

I absolutely love David and his wife Allison and Pop Psyche! 😊 thank you for this little trip down therapy memory lane! I remember thinking when watching the therapy session, and I still believe now (after having been in years of therapy myself), that if you don’t get honest and real and want to do the work, then therapy doesn’t help. To quote Dr Phil “you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge”. I think some really wanted help and wanted to heal relationships and others just didn’t. So therapy is a waste if you don’t do the work 🤷♀️ JMO I hope you have a great week! hugs! 💖💕

She's so fake. She has a tone that she uses when she's lying and she had it the entire time they talked about the rental/buying idea. She knew it would stall them building on cp yet she still did it. Her kids could have shared roo.s until they moved out but her kuds have the red carpet rolled out and they never had to suffer like the other kids. Which is also tge reason I don't understand why her kids are abnormally depressed bc they're the only kids that have a cushioned life

I think Christine was probably Kody’s favorite so when Robyn came into the family she manipulated Kody into not liking Christine anymore and making her the enemy.
What gives you the impression that Christine was ever his favorite?!? Did you not read their book?! He was repulsed by her long before they married and they rarely ever had sex! He didn't want to kiss her or be intimate and wouldn't put his kids with her down for the night while she was off working so, again, what leads you to believe that? I don't see that at all.
Kody said he would never cross the line & give up just to drill it into Christine's head that no matter how he treats her, she is to never give up & leave him. He had given up putting any effort into their relationship.
Interesting, Nancy has Shel Silverstien books. And dolls, she must be good with Children, not adult narcissist.
As you said, maybe Nancy needs to either retire or stick with children. Never saw anything she said or suggested they do to be of any significance.
Nancy was avoiding getting fired….the therapist who handed them over as clients was way too emotionally invested and transferred that over-concern for “respecting polygamy” onto Nancy. Nancy slipped up by confusing “respect for polygamy” with “what the man says goes.” As a result the respect for each woman as an individual went out the door. That’s why whenever Robyn was challenged, she just refused to go or called the sessions stupid. It was clear that if Nancy “oversteps,” I.e. challenges Robyn or Kody - they’re out the door and so are the clients.
That's funny bc I often compare snobyn to the book The Giving Tree by shel silverstein bc all she does is take take take and never once gives. She's selfish just like the man in the book.

In the last season he said if there was an issue between Mykelti and Mari, he didn’t know about it. So it wasn’t really about the kids. It’s just the script. He started with Mari. It just wasn’t as obvious because we were distracted by the catfishing
Robyn wore old Kody out! He didn’t have the manhood to keep it up for his other wives! You know he was on steroids to try and get those pecs and 6 pack abs!
This is not dig at any woman who pack on a few extra pounds between the age they meet Kody and over 15-20 years. And motherhood will do that to a gal. Been there, done that. But despite gaining weight, Janelle, Meri and Christine, look happy and good for most part. Robyn damn... she's packed on lbs but wow... did she ever age around him.... I mean remarkably so. She's lost her bright spark. It's like you can see how living w/him has worn her to a frazzle. I'd love to know the birth order among them in their birth families. That plays a lot into this too... their dynamics. And Kody... what do these women see in him??? I mean ... blah: Not handsome, self absorbed, narcissistic and not handsome in his looks or attitudes. His form of multiple wives is "I get to cheat and have my ego scratched by four women all under the guise of our 'spiritual path' and polygamy traditions in their religion." Phony. And I want to like him but I can't let myself be charmed like him because that's what narcissistics are genius at: charm treatment and love bombing. Finally, the family goes to see Pat and Nancy when they do marriage counseling in season 7 so not the first time in TX.
This guy shouldn’t still be licensed. You don’t analyze people you have never even spoken to based on what’s presented on a tv show. It’s unethical and silly. Imo we have no idea what’s going on in any of their heads. All we can tell for sure is that every willing participant in the show is less than fully credible. Once we know that we can stop believing any of their words.
