I think he was the love of her life, and it has taken her many many years to work through the pain of that love not being reciprocated. I think she’s still working through it. I hope she finds a good guy when the timing is right.

Hmm...It makes me wonder. I'm not so sure she really is over him. No one could hang on so long (and be treated so badly the entire time) in the hopes that he would want her back, and then suddenly one day POOF! you're over him. I wish she could get over him ..but I don't know. I think if he asked her to come back tomorrow she would.

I find it sad that he sang those words to Meri and if you pay attention to the lyrics, he would only live up to those words for Robyn.
It sounded like her post referenced without her past, she wouldn’t be where she is today. She’s evolved and not the same person. So I think she long over Kody.
I think that Meri very likely has some bittersweet memories, but can still be glad that she no longer is married - spiritully or otherwise - to Kody. The day she was married was an important milestone in her life - why wouldn't she remember it? When she married him she had a very firm belief in polygamy and loved Kody. The way she was raised to believe, she would be with him forever - on earth and in Heaven - and that she should not be jealous or envious of other wives, that she should accept emotional abuse, and be content to stay no matter how difficult or miserable the situation. I think that is one of the reasons it took her so long to separate herself from him. The religious reasons to stay made her leaving even more difficult than what we might consider a "regular" divorce. I think that remembering certain dates in our lives can be ways to measure just how far we've come.
My heart breaks for Garrison, I just lost a friend the same way yesterday. I never knew how much pain he was in

Kody married all his wives because they were very flexible, worshipful, and self-sacrificing. To bad, as it is for most women in those situations, they were not repaid in kind.🤨☹️🤬
I have a strong feeling if Kody told her he wanted her back & would have a relationship with her.. she would run back to him so fast.
I knew someone who loved soda. This person was severely diabetic. Despite that they drank liters of soda daily. Even after having a limb removed. They still loved soda. It wasn't until their lives were threatened that they stopped drinking soda. I think Kody is meris soda. She acknowledged he is not good for her. She can look back and know she enjoyed him. Not that she wants to be with him just that it's what she knew for 30 yrs. That is a big part of one's life.
I don’t know if she’s over Cody or not but if not, she needs to get over him because he’s a loser and I don’t think he ever works. He’s strong these ladies along just using them for money promising them all kinds of things and never sticking to what he was supposed to do, so sorry for them. I’m glad the wife remarried and has a wonderful husband now David I think that’s his name. She seems so happy and I’m glad she got out of that bad relationship. Good luck to all three ladies. I hope they find love and success and move on with their lives.
I think she loves hard and is very loyal. Until she meets someone else who she can love as much as she wants he's been her only experience of that.

I don’t Meri is completely over Kody. I think we have to understand they were together for over 30 years. You’re not fully get to get over it in a year or two. Especially when the divorce is not something you truly wanted. I’m going to give her some grace here.
I’m not totally sure how Meri feels. I don’t follow or watch her on social media. Seems to me, from watching the show, she’s been in a state of denial for a long time. But, cult members, which I feel these folks are, live in another reality anyway; and they believe in some fantasy afterlife in the sky. From seeing her posts, that you & others share, she seems very performative. Meri’s quotes & thoughts she shares seem to reflect toxic positivity, but that seems prevalent both on social media & in Fundie culture. IMO, Meri could use some heavy psychiatric therapy & deprogramming (with an MD, not an MA/PhD in psychology). I think she should have some regret! Kody & Robyn treated her horribly & Meri is, herself, responsible for building a cult family; she helped pull other women into an illegal & likely abusive situation!
