Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on trying out new styles of videos aka this one had a lot of long gameplay and only sprinkles of analysis. So your comment helps me focus on what I should work on going forward! I put time stamps in the description if you want to skip ahead to the board analysis (: Thanks again for watching!

Not sure it's the right call but another idea I had looking at the starting positions for first pick is the 4/5/10 pointing right. That way you block both the 5/9/10 and 8/4/10 and force the ows competition on the coast, and since you're guaranteed decent sheep you'll have a strong 5 resource strat once you get on the 9/10, which I severely doubt would be taken. Might be too slow because brick would be harder to trade for than wood would be if you took the 5/9/10 instead and you're unlikely to get a second 1 road expansion from that settlement since the 5/9 would be great for the 6/5/11 player.
fatal error by red in the second game, he had the resources to build the 6/2 and secure the spot and instead he let himself get plowed by white. I think Red wins if doesn't make that mistake. Well played though, thanks for sharing.
I think a lot of people might have ploughed red for the 3,10,11. The thing is, that gives you low production off a resource that is then going to be halved again on the port trade. It doesn't help toward a possible long road either. Let red take it and end up getting even less out of it since they will have to use the 3:1 port.
early on, you had the resources to plow red and take the 3/10/11 triple sheep spot away from him, but choose to go ahead and take the 9/10/2 spot. What was your thoughts on that decision? I would of taken the triple sheep, even with low numbers since you cut red out of the extra sheep he could use for dev cards and supply your own sheep port a little better.
Good question! I think the 9-10-2 is just a lot better in my opinion mainly bcuz i was thinking the next step could be the ore port. But also, I figure the 10-3-11 becomes very risky for red since either me or silver is just a road-settle away from taking it from him. I thought red would go for the brick port on the 10 ore instead. At any point in the game, if silver only needed 1-2 cards to take the 10-3-11 ... I wouldve given it to him to plow red. Unfortunately it never happened. And this is what I was afraid someone would do for him to plow me on the 9-10-2 if I didn't go there asap.
Semi final was horrible. Always been you and Antar based on the others and play. The finals was super interesting, and I honestly wasn't sure how you were gonna pull it off after seeing white and red's expansions...then you pulled that second mono and I was like, "yup...that'll do it" lol well done!
Why didn’t you city the 5/6 first in the second match? It seems like the better pick to me because it balances out your ore wheat sheep ratio and the 6 sheep is triple shared so it’s less likely to be blocked.
great question, i think 5/6 is also a good city, i wouldnt be opposed to citying that spot instead. i think the reason i citied the 6-4-3 was to 1) make the brick easier to port away 2) make the 6 ore whatever i want it to be - in my mind its easier to manage with a 3:1. whereas i may find myself w stuck hands with 2 sheep 2 ore if i were to city the 6-5 and may 7 out more and most importantly reason 3) the plan was that id more than likely use the mono for wheat this game - so i wanted to get a bunch of ore to match the mono intake
Yeah, I couldn't find fault with pretty much any of the starting settlement decisions in the first round. Normally I can get all worked up over at least two, sometimes even half, of them..................but I think all of the decisions were pretty sound. You could argue Grey was getting a bit greedy or at least overly optimistic pointing their second settlement's road north, but I don't think it was a bad decision nonetheless much like with you pointing yours north with the hope of claiming one of two three-hex regions. =) I say this certainly not meaning to diminish you playing quite well, because you did play quite well...........................but I do think it turned out Blue played the role of spoiler and, without Blue getting a leg up on early development card investment even with inferior production to Red.....................Red would have been the victor with robust production and unrivalled flexibility in their setup. Your starting setup was pretty strong too, but it turned out the 2:1 sheep port was minimally pivotal to the outcome of the game and you also lacked a 3:1 port so that forced you to make snappy intuitive decisions with your cards with efficiency in mind. Now watching the championship round. Love your channel as always! =)
Cool games but I really enjoy you for your commentary. Plus the song playing over game 1 I think is making me go insane

I really like this suggestion! Would be interesting to try it if i could go back. Thanks for the comment!! :)

Completely agree!!
I don't see any strong argument to not secure the Ore at this stage. Very complacent play.

Such an early city too! Ecpc

Thank you!
so lucky to get both monopoly cards
Very very lucky indeed!!!!

sheep port? doesn't take 3x sheep but why !?? lol
doubling up on the 9 ore is so much better, then later on, it takes away from me organically increasing my longest road
