Turkish Chocolate Pudding "SUPANGLE" / Interesting Hint For Perfect Texture

- Supangle is a well-known dessert served in Turkish Patisseries or sweet shops. With chocolate flavor and smooth silky texture great for chocolate lovers and kids. It had a small interesting hint on making it.
Ingredients for supangle:
3 heaped tbsp flour
3 heaped tbsp cocoa powder
1 egg yolk
5-6 heaped tbsp sugar
1-liter whole milk
1-2 tbsp butter
30 to 60 gr. bittersweet chocolate
200ml ice-cold water
To decorate: chocolate shaves, ground pistachio, coconut flakes

I am Turk and i was planning to do some desert tomorrow. Seems i got the recipe! Thanks! BTW in many stores and restaurants it is served with cake in the bottom. It is easier and quicker recipe . So you can add thin layer of cake (whatever type you want but recommend chocolate cake) and put this supangle to it's top.
Vanilla sponge cake would also be a good base .

This is very similar to how my mother taught me to make hot chocolate, less the egg yolk and the chocolate pieces. Definitely going to make it!

@@TFT No, but to be honest I have always had a hard time to remove the hot chocolate from the stove, since it hardens quickly. I might try adding cold water or milk in order to make it smooth again and cool it down a little bit, so that the flour doesn't keep thickening the chocolate.

I have tried your stove top apple cake it didn't look like no sunflower but it tasted super nice, apple and date a little butter hint of cinnamon amazing combination.. I cooked all those ingredients then served it with cream on to. 😊😋😋🙏

The ice water is a new trick for me, thank you so much! I'll definitely give that a try next time.
I use corn starch instead of flour; and confectioner's sugar instead of regular sugar. It makes for easy mixing and no accidental lumps.
