- We are making a popular milk dessert in Turkey. Turkish Milk Pudding With Caramel Sauce. Traditionally we have a pudding with real chicken breast in it. www.turkishfoo... It is used to give its oozing texture rather than taste. But in this fake version, we get similar silky consistency and flavor without using chicken breast, and nowadays this is the recipe used to make this pudding.

For the milk pudding:
100gr. butter
3/4 cup flour (my cup size is 250ml universal cup)
1 liter of milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 package vanilla powder or 1 tsp vanilla essence
For the caramel topping
For the thickening mix:
1+ 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 cup water
For the caramel sauce:
1/2 + 1 tbsp cup sugar
1/3 cup water

It is the most delicious dessert I have ever tried !! To make the caramel sauce, oh,it was very tricky ! I had to try 4 times....I used crushed,toasted almonds on the top and it was a delight !

Looks delicious! Similar to the Spanish dessert Flan. Flan is much softer in consistency and you flip the dessert so the sugar caramel runs over the pudding. Cant wait to try you recipe! Thank you for sharing! 😍

This is a gorgeous looking dessert! I’m going to try it and I can almost taste it already. I’m going to try gluten free flour because I have Celiac disease but it looks so good I think it is worth trying it out. I think it will work
You can try it with gluten free flour or even use corn flour

I would be fascinated to see the original recipe with the chicken breast. Here we rarely add sweet flavors to meat with the exception of pork and sometimes duck. 1. Why is it called Fake Chicken? Does the original recipe have chicken? Did you omit the chicken because of the "chicken taste"?
2. Why do you have to mix the béchamel with an electric mixer after it was done? Does it affect the texture if we don't do it?
