A question about my comment pertaining to not mounting the IR aiming laser under the rail vs over has been asked multiple times and I may actually make a short video about it but TLDR: 3 reasons. 1.) categorically, you are more likely to jam your zero or alter settings by smacking it off of something when mounted to the bottom, just find one of your guns that is well used. Which side of the handguard looks the cleanest? 2.) it is much easier to actuate the controls when mounted at 12 o’clock- particularly under NODs. 3.) a properly zeroed rifle will have the projectile rising to the first zero, surpassing it, apexing, and coming back down to the second zero. Putting the laser on top mounts the laser beam inside that bracket; under puts it outside it. The steeper the angle to that zero point the more the laser will deviate from the arc of the bullet across the engagement range.
I wish the night vision industry would explode like the red dot industry did, that way there’d be competition and drive the cost down to where us regular folks could play
Looks like you are missing the diffuser cap lens for the illuminator, it adds a great bit of usability to the device. Maybe shoot an email to Ivan tactical and see if they can help you find a replacement. The +Power Green unit is very capable of zeroing in the morning or afternoon.
I have the Perst4 and my instruction manual is in English. My laser is also the green+ and that thing is very daylight visible. A warning on the Zenitco lasers, they are NOT eye safe, so be very careful about lighting up your buddies or catching a reflection back into your eyes.
I use the Perst4 the visable and IR laser only unit. And love it. I have it combo'ed with a Surfire M92 IR light. They work pretty well for sure. For the money. The Perst series of products are built like tanks and are fantastic
@@LukePRTR that may be. I only have the one perst4. So I can't speak for anyone else. But mine has been dropped rained on and knocked around. And mine has been just fine. The all metal construction is extremely durable. And I haven't experienced any shift in my zero. But hell if you are worried about it breaking, you can buy a second one to have on hand to replace it. And in most cases it will still be cheaper then buying one from another manufacturer. 🤷♂️
The PEQ15 is expensive because it's illegal to sell to civilians cheaper than you still to the government. So, too maintain their stupid high contract prices, they have to keep their msrp high.
Looks like you have the lower power red laser and a older version. The lower power is still more powerful than any civy laser here in the states. For $1495 the full power Perst 3 g+ 20mw green laser can be had. Use the remote pressure switch is a far better method of operation. I own several Zentico devices, an the Perst 2 is my favorite because it runs on 18650 batteries
@@wombatt360 Really depends on what surface you are lazing. If you aim at a disco ball or other highly reflective surface, then yes you could hurt your eye/nods. For indoor use you would (should) only be using the lowest power on the pointer, which is relatively safe. If you go full power… then there could be problems. You should also never use the full power when doing FOF or training with others “downrange”. Safety first!

I put about $2,200 into the PIG ( IN JUST PARTS & DO THE WORK MYSELF ) last year & never noticed the rocker panels were that bad being all the time I spent on the ground underneath it. For the money they are great. I have a perst 3 and it's as powerful as my full power dbal a2. Its just got shitty glass lenses and blooms bad in your peripheral. However down range its not noticable. No cover so be careful dont blind yourselves. I could see none nv owning people doing that. Also mine kills batteries in off mode locked out. My dbal does too unless you put in visible laser off mode so it's shit in comparison but for the money it's solid. Again be careful! Also have fun zeroing in dark. The capped turrets suck ass. Btw they upgraded the red version and now its literally the brightest red laser I ever seen. Dont waste your money on green cuz it's not worth it. My red version blows away my dbal by 10x no joke. Also got mine in 2 weeks from zenitco Ebay store. They ship priority international now. Good shit. You don't need green it's a n.v tool. Red is day visible and beam is visible at night. Nor is it effected by cold weather. This guys laser is older. They are insane bright now on the perst 3 now at least.

This is some hypocrite, ironic, and hilarious shit you can see for quite some time 😂 I'm tired of those overpriced civic power lasers in the state tho. They are god damn weak.
Perst lasers= Russian “full power” lasers with hit or miss output (2 lasers of the same model side by side can have substantially different output levels, from borderline civvy level to well above the 25mw rating), poor collimation leading to excessive bloom, especially at higher output levels, and a poor track record in wet cold environments. Uses a large proprietary tape switch that precludes integration with current dual switch options. Can give ok performance if you’re lucky enough to get one without any of these issues, and can be a relatively budget friendly way to get a high power laser, if that’s all that matters to the buyer, but when all the drawbacks and potential performance/reliability issues are taken into account, the juice isn’t really worth the squeeze for serious use.
