    Even HIT gyms miss this--thanks, Doug. Huge help.

    I have this machine and knew this in general, but this video clarified it quite a bit. Thank you!

    These Medx machines are massive. Maybe someone should write a manual on how to use them properly?

    Nice explanation. Investing in a pedal for lifting the stack would be another good choice but misses the hard end stop( safety and rom , but more so if one has shoulder issues or is not that experienced). These considerations are however not limited to Nedx machine or exercise in general. I own mostly nautilus equipment and pin the stack too. As always keep meaningfull tension on the musle and don't destruct the body.

      @smartstrength4414 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most US versions don't have the pedal; the american website doesn't even show this as an option.

      @@smartstrength4414 That's to bad. Maybe importing it from Germany. When I started working at Kieser in 2005 the machines had no pedals . So it was a matter of correct backpad adjustment and learning the clients to 'slip'into the machine. Often a hazard since most clients had a respectable age already.
      On the other side the resistance most used and never increased........well, way to low.

    Question - is there a source to find gyms with MedX?

    i have access to a chest press Matrix brand machine, and in order to make better use of the machine i leave a gap of holes in the weight stack. Problem is with loading more weight since the stick don't reach out the lower weight stack, what can i do?

  • @Mangorolo0193
    @Mangorolo0193 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That's a LOT of weight on the full stack!

    How much does that machine cost? Also are there used machines that are available?

    Old school exercise like 'DIPS' for chest is a much better choice and a much more versatile option imho

    Why do you want a hard stop?

    • @dr.dougmcguff282
      @dr.dougmcguff282  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      1. Makes your rep ROM consistent. 2. You won't go too deep and overstretch the bicep tendon at the shoulder joint. 3. You won't turn too early and short change the ROM. 4. Use the hard stop to "barely touch, barely start" so you won't use momentum.

    Why is HIT so hated by most weightlifting communities? Anytime I bring it up people hate on it and say it doesn’t produce gains.

    You posting video on how to and how not to, but where is your proof, “Dr.” ?
    Show your pec development, if you consider yourself to be so knowledgeable and so right about “proper training” 😂.
    I could use the machine the way I want to use it and adjust it the way I want for my own preference, with more or less convergence… I decide !
    Don’t judge others, in this case me, just do your thing, don’t use my videos to showcase and “prove” your theories and understanding. I had/have my judge, DY, and am approved…don’t need you to tell me how and what.
    Do your own thing, don’t use and judge mine !
