As a Hindu who got lost along her way, I can 100% vouch for fasting. It's almost terrifying observing the psychological mess that I harbor when I overeat or eat anything I want without listening to my body...so many times I've heard my body literally saying NO to whatever I was about to consume...and I'd do it anyway for that temporary taste on my tongue- that instant gratification- and I'd completely regret it for the rest of the day as it would send me into a dark downward spiral.

Not really bro. He was trying to say that you must have your heart and gut in check and not constantly over exert and overemphasise the mind. Because there are 2 other “minds” Aka the gut and heart. The gut is what psychologists call the “id” and the body is mainly centered in the gut/id. Whereas the souls home and center. You must keep them both in check and not over emphasise and exert on solely the mind. Watch and listen to him carefully 💯.

    Notes:
You don't have one mind you have three: head, heart, and gut.
    gut (commanding self/animalistic needs)
    head (guilty self)
    heart (peaceful self)
when you shift your awareness to the heart you will stop overthinking, and you will be in touch with your real self.
when you have a bad gut it commands you to do evil and you mess up in life and get diseases, depression...etc, you can heal the gut through fasting.
you can activate the heart through dhikr and get closer to god.
(not the best notes because I was paying attention to the video)

Inner peace requires cleansing the heart through practices like gratitude and forgiveness. Balance mind, gut, and heart.
Remembrance (reading scripture etc.) illuminates our true nature by revealing the 'gold' within - our essence of pure love.
Transcend egoic thinking and connect to your core of selfless love through spiritual practices.
Remembering the divine presence lifts the veil of darkness, bringing light and freeing us from hatred.
Aligning with your inner loving nature taps into great energy and liberation.
Go beyond mental limitations into the expansive essence of your being through devotion and surrender.
Remembrance serves to access the purity within by cutting through illusions of the mind and ego.
By uncovering your true identity as love itself, you unlock inner peace.
Here's a longer response as well, keep reading for the full message.
The speaker begins by emphasizing the importance of inner peace, which requires cleansing and activating the heart. Practices like gratitude and forgiveness are powerful ways to purify the heart. Overall, the mind, gut, and heart are deeply interconnected - balancing all three is crucial for fulfillment.
Remembrance is highlighted as an impactful spiritual practice to bring clarity and cleanse the heart. Specifically, reading scripture invokes a state of remembrance that illuminates one's inner being. The speaker uses the metaphor of a dark room containing hidden gold to illustrate this. The gold represents our true essence, temporarily obscured by the darkness of forgetfulness and ego. Remembrance is the light that reveals the gold - our core nature of pure love.
Aligning with this inner loving nature enables liberation from hatred, judgment and excessive thinking. By remembering the divine presence within, we can shift from mind-based overthinking to heart-based being. This lifts the veil of darkness to let our inner light shine through. The speaker emphasizes transcending egoic mind patterns to connect with our essence of selfless love.
When we uncover our true nature, we tap into boundless energy and freedom. The process of remembrance serves to cut through illusions and access the purity within. By devotionally connecting to the creator, the speaker suggests we come to know our real identity as love itself. This brings a sense of peace and surrender to what is.
In summary, practices of remembrance illuminate our lives by revealing our inner gold. The message highlights the power of spiritual connection through scripture, simran, meditation etc. to cleanse the heart and manifest the qualities of our true nature. The speaker provides an inspiring call to go beyond the mind's limitations into the expansive essence of our being.

You seem to me the "spiritual version" of Hamza Ahmed. I'm a big fan of Hamza & am listening to him for the last 1 year but I always felt a little bit of hollowness inside of me because his ideas lacked the "spiritual side" & I was unable to find a Muslim brother who talks the same stuff but with the mixture of "spirituality, the person who could help me to heal spiritually. Thanks to ALLAH almighty that I found your channel a month ago & Mohammed bro you know what? your one video i.e. (Developing Taqwa--the God's Consciousness) literally changed the course of my daily life. I literally experienced instant positive results in my life. Before this, I was struggling a lot spiritually even doing all the good stuff like offering prayers 5 times, Reading the Quran & making dua but I was not conscious of my deeds. Just developing the God's consciousness literally changed my feelings about myself. It literally helped me in developing the high self-esteem in me because whenever I'm about to do something haram or forbidden, my heart says: "ALLAH is watching you & he didn't make you an average guy who does whatever his nafs al ammara advises him to do" & bro instantly my mind switches to my higher values. Alhamdulillah!

Mohammed, you do a great job a pointing our a HUGE misconception that 99% of people have:
That people are in control of their minds.
The issue is there really are way too many distractions, especially ones that target young men. Everywhere you look is Cornstars taking their clothes off and short-term dopamine hits.
We need to take back our focus, and our discipline so that we can actually pursue big things in this life and leave a dent in the universe.

@@_strive Dopamine is the chemical largely responsible for motivation and focus.
It is designed to keep us alive and pursuing growth.
The issue is that if you do things that artificially releases it in your brain (PHub, Video games, etc etc.) then your brain will rewire itself to prioritize those things...
If you focus on long-term gratification things, your brain will get BETTER at those. :)

you are right in many things but wrong about driving thinking about safety.... my dad always drove safely and in his 60 years he had two accidents and both of them were somebody hit the car from behind. we followed his way and Alhamdulilah not one accident , meanwhile every single day in hospital my sister gets at least 20 people severely injured and they all were driving fast and recklessly. It's a farz to save your life so be conscious about driving safely

You're so right about those who think too much about avoiding accidents, and drive slow and all, being extra cautious are the ones who end up having accidents. Because they are overthinking. I happen to do things fast too and can so relate to your story. My father taught me to drive slow and i always ended up messing things up that way. But when i drive fast all my senses are in line and I don't have accident.
I'm not telling anyone to drive fast but I'm saying be aware of your overthinking patterns and try to live in the moment.

I can attest that, your gut health really has a direct impact on your mind. I’m currently struggling with anxiety but not as bad as I first experienced it in 2020, which I suffered stomach ulcer & gerd. In February 2023 I got admitted to the hospital due to long fever, sinusitis and pneumonia. Long story short, about 5 courses of antibiotics gave me another stomach ulcer and probably some other gut problems too. But overall, the main reason of my poor gut health is due to my addiction to coffee and spicy foods.

Muslims be aware a lot of these concepts come from mystical judaism & sehr (witchcraft). The main “psychologists” that taught this got it from “automatic writing” & jin (where he basically allowed a spirit to write through him). We are NOT saying it’s true or not, jin can mix truth with falsehood. Be aware this might lead you into sorcery/ witchcraft & unseen/hidden knowledge that is haram for you to learn.

Studies have shown that your electromagnetic field of the heart is 100x more stronger and larger than your brain. ❤ overthinking, anxiety, doubt is all not you. Your thoughts are not you period. Keep your mind clean by being present. If you are in the present moment you cannot be thinking. ❤ your mind and body is your servant not the other way round. Discipline is what you need. Avoid negative content and negative people.

To make it easy and short for you to understand. He's saying to not over think with your emotions and just do what's needed to be done.
This concept is like ultra instinct, in which you move without thinking and you don't let your mind cloud your judgment.
This concept tells us to live in the moment not in the moment of past or future when theres a decision needed to be made at present.
Living in the moment of past or future clouds your judgment and makes you more perone to errors.

I've noticed something that i need to break in the form of habits..because everything you do on a daily basis, everything you eat even is a habit. When I observe what Im eating when Im stressed.. its ice cream, chocolate, sodas.. to calm by brain down of stress.. then I keep going back to it as a form of instant gratification. I'm addicted to sweets.. Im addicted to entertainment, and wasting so much of my time doing it weather its gaming, movies or other things on the internet thats taking up my time. How do I cut the cycle? A friend told me there is a retreat.. although its 6 months waiting because they are so booked up. She said it was life changing. For 2 weeks, you give up your phone, eating habits and you sit there with your mind. Its like Rehab for the mind. The result? EVERYTHING changes. You tap into your soul. All the things that the mind thinks about, worry about, fear, anger, cravings... gone. But we live in a world full of distractions to keep our minds and habits occupied. That is why its necessary to go somewhere, where you can quiet the mind. With no access to internet, phone, movies. 2 Weeks of that can change your life. But this challenge is something not many people are prepared to do. Imagine not being without your phone, interent, sweets or entertainment for 2 weeks?! Yiiikes! How bad do I want to change? I gotta do it.
