I did this and it worked perfectly thanks used white lithium grease and after a little while the mirror self adjusted back and then forward and landed Home!! 🏡

This works for me! Thank you!
Tips: You’ll have to make sure the mechanism is not snap in place. In that case you’ll get about a quarter inch gap to spray it in. It works even better if you can spray it into a “hole”. You’ll know what I’m saying when there’s a gap. Spray it in that hole and the next you’ll know, it will work!
I used WD-40, it works just fine. Nothing fancy needed. It will get a little messy, just be sure to have towels around.

Thank you so much for your video it really was that simple. I first cleaned all the dirt I used my air compressor then i sprayed it a few times then I hit the button and went the opposite direction so I continued to clean it with WD 40 let it dry then sprayed WD 40 silicon spray and then tried it again and it then worked perfectly. My experience was moving it back and forth bi hand as I sprayed . Thank you . I definitely didn’t want to cut white wire my experience is one short will probably lead to something else.

Your method work wonders on my side mirror! But I substitute WD w Lithium grease. Thanks a lot buddy! 😊

Figured pretty much any lubricant would work. That’s just what I had laying around. Glad yours worked.

This works! But I had to spray the lubricant into that slot from several different angles. With the mirror facing forward, folded, and in its home position.

My right mirror got stuck, and WD40 couldn't free the pin. I sprayed in the slot after taking off the cover. I bought Blaster 16 PB and it freed up the pin. I think WD40 only cleaned out the dirt and debris, whereas the Blaster brand lubed the moving parts. So if WD40 doesn't do it, try another brand.

    Good morning all
for me I have the same problem with the 2 mirrors, they fold, but they do not fold (they just moved a little and remained folded)
do i have to do the same? thank you

It just depends how stuck it is, most of the time lubricating will not help. I turned off that option and after turning it on, aftet years of not moving, imagine how stuck it is.
