I seen them in concert at Rock & Roll Heaven in Toronto way the hell back when, and they indeed played all their own instruments. To question their ability....the club was absolutely packed to see them. They put on a great show.
Richard Marx wrote a few songs for Vixen's record label. Vixen recorded a couple of them, and this one was one of their first hits. When the girls started writing their own music, they had some differences, and eventually broke up.
I lived through this era. Sometimes...Damn...I miss it. The avatar is my wife, and I looked like (gah) Bon Jovi lol. But we had a ton of fun in the 80's. And looking like Jon got me that hot babe of a wife so...Thank you, Jon lol
I was in high school in the 80s Glam/ hard Rock/ Heavy Metal days and NO music that's come after has even come close to equalling what music was then. That's teh long and short of it!
I love this version so much more! I can really hear Share's awesome bass track. She is so beautiful. She looks a bit like Nancy Spungen, but even more beautiful!
Nunca es tarde para apreciar la buena música, Felipe Cuando recién salió este álbum era un adolescente de 17 años... Y cada vez que escucho el estilo de música de los 80's hasta mitad de los 90's me siento transportado a esa época
Here are the names of Vixen, the best girl band ever. Janet Gardner - Lead Singer Roxy Petrucci - Drums Share Pedersen - Bassist Jan Kuehnemund - Guitar
OMG They they bring new meaning to the term rock steady. This my friends is the 80 at its best, WILD hair, increadable women and did i forget to mention power cords and drum rifs then send chills up my spine even today !
Oh and there were 2 versions of How Much Love and Love Made Me as well. The former was released in 2 slightly diff edits (you can hardly spot any difference) while the latter had a band-only version, and a 2nd version with a guy sneaking in from behind the stage and trying to film the band with his own hand camera
The good old days in the 80s. Most folks today miss those days cause we were young and vibrant without a worry in the world. Too bad things change and we have to grow up and take on responsibilities. Oh well we are getting close to retirement age so maybe then we can go back to acting like kids again.😂😂😂
Rock and roll bands like vixen I think looked up to girls like The Runaways and was really cool to be a part of such a generation the drummer Roxy patucci reminds me of Ace Frehley almost like she could be his love child maybe it's just my opinion but every time I see her behind the drums I think wow she looks just like Ace! Anyway long live the 80s since the music today doesn't even make any sense to me rock on XOXO
Ah the 80's, when I was young and had no cares, just a loud stereowithout booming bass that rattles the body panels. Well at least I still have my long hair
I miss this kind of music in the charts, proper rock music played by people who know what guitars and drums look like.
Janet Gardner is one of Rock n' Roll's best singers and I wish she would come back to us! She's freakin' great!
You really need to listen to more bands
RIP, Jan - you were one kickass lead guitarist. These gals knew how to rock. Wish I could time travel back to the 80's - and stay there.
