I think my circuit board went for a poop I ordered the 1st kit like you did but are now leaning towards getting the is getting the whole new circuit board like you did so if you get a chance I'd like to order it from the place you did but they're not showing it on their website
Anyone have an issue where it welds fine at first then 15 minutes it seems like the voltage goes down to the point where it won't weld. Come back next day same thing and I've emailed hobart and nothing.
Odds are you ran it too hard once upon a time and hurt the cycle time. Mine does that too. After 20 minutes welding gets weird, i let it cool off for 5-10 mns.
@@Howard-ur2rj No. Only use it for bodywork type of welding. I use a 220 volt hobart for bigger jobs like 3/8 steel making log bunks etc. Maybe but I don't remember if so. I got a rebuild kit for it online for 13.99 I believe and swapped parts out and now it won't feed. Motor turns but no feed. I bought a 135. It's shown me that I've had a issue with my old one for some time. Idk. That kind of stuff isn't my jam. Electronics are for ppl who know what's what. I'll stick to nuts and bolts, hydraulics etc
@@kitjasabsgabs1830 guess all i know is from experience and youtube. Have a lot off talents, master of none. Bought my 135 new early to mid 1990's for hobby stock and enduro racing. 2001-03ish repairing rusted out rear frame rails on a 1975 Ford LTD for race. Major amount of steel and welding in a hurry with no concern of welder run time. That event damaged my cycle time. Don't know what i damaged, nor do i care. The old girl still serves my needs for light welding.
@@Howard-ur2rj like wise. Idk what the deal is. Like I say I use my 2something for regular jobs. This 135 is for sheet metal, maybe frame type repair nothing over 3/16 if that. It's old too. I think late 90s? Before 2000 I know that. First job was 1949 chevy cab corners and that was 1993. So it's about as old as yours. Worked great all this time. Idk I'll find a person that knows about this type of thing. I can replace and solder but idk how or when to test this circuit or that etc.
I did the same thing recently. I had used the welder for small stuff for the last 20+ years without trouble. I got involved with a charity that needed some welding done and overworked it. Testing showed that I had burnt some of the diodes in the rectifier. Ordered the new rectifier but it is no longer available. I ended up designing and building a new rectifier with larger diodes and a heat sink. I haven't really put it to the test yet but it is working great on a small test. I probably about doubled the duty cycle so I am really looking forward to using it again.
Absolutely . recently i gave the welder to a friend who needed it more than me. I bought a new Lincoln 140 Easy Mig. like the Hobart, nice little hobby welder.
Hobart 135 handler mig welder I have a striped gear can anyone help me figure out how many teeth are on it ? Not the gear that’s on the motor shaft or the gear that has the small gear on top it’s the other one I can’t find anything in this I’ll buy a gear box or the gears if anyone has this help please
You are lucky. I have an ESAB, 3 years later there is no spare parts. Very bad choice.
what model ESAB?
you have to replace all the parts in your fix it kit everything ,that`s why its not working ,all the parts in the fix it kit work together

Do you have the part number for that ??

$200.00 is pricey. Did it fix your problem?
