I totally agree here, the game was absolutely amazing. One of the best Superbowls I've ever seen. I am a Pat's fan, and when my team loses games like this, it's heartbreaking to say the least. But I swallow my pride, and move on to the next year hoping it'll be even greater then the last. However when I sit there, and people take shots at my team for things that happened in the past. I will defend my team, cause there's no need for it. The NFL has made no accusations toward the Pats this year for Deflategate, it's still under investigation. And to sit there and use Spygate as a means to make Patriots seem guilty for the current scandal is just plain blind, and stupid. Especially when there has been no released official evidence to prove that the Pats were behind it. This Superbowl however was one for the ages. Seahawks really gave it to the Patriots, and I really wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of these two teams in next year's Superbowl. My respect goes out to the Seahawks for giving us a great game, and to the real Seahawk fans who are being classy about the loss. In my eyes both teams deserved to win this game, it's just sad there can be only one.

I'm a huge Seahawks fan... After 6 months of grieving, I can finally admit this was an epic Superbowl. Sure we lost, but from a football fan standpoint, the game was a rollercoaster with plenty of drama. It also helps that we won the year before...
Everyone keeps blaming the Seahawks coaching staff for the interception pass but it was a great play call based on how the pats lined up on d. They had 7 in the box, a safety deep, and one on one coverage outside. Quick slants was perfect. Also Marshawn Lynch ran the ball 5 times from the 1 yard line during regular season. He only scored once.
I agree that running the ball would have been the safer/better choice, but then again, Pete Carroll or Darrell Bevell might have tried to catch the Pats defense off guard. Either way, it was a ballsy call, not a stupid call. (BTW I'm not a Pat's or Seattle fan)

I would have thrown a fade into the corner of the endzone so at least if he over throws it and goes out of bounds it stops the clock and gives the Seahawks a chance to setup a play. 14 point comeback in only 5 minutes is just crazy. And the play before the pick deserves WAY more recognition. Hightower slamming Okung to the side and drilling Lynch in the legs along with Akeem Ayers blocking the goal line. And man, that interception play had SO SO much more to it. If Revis didn't cover his man like he did that would've been a wide open touchdown and game over If browner didn't pin kearse to the line of scrimmage that probably would've been a touchdown And Malcolm knew the play he had to make. He failed it twice in practice. Brandon told him what he had to do and he listened. He was so determined to make at least a stop on there you could just tell. And then it happened..the best play in super bowl history. And before you storming giants fans say "oh no the tyree and manningham catches were better" let me prove you all wrong.. Brady led his offense very well, the Legion of Boom picked him twice but Brady still managed to bring it back. Very impressive, and Russel was no slouch either. For a third or fourth string player. If an inexperienced player let up a play like that I'd take his ass out. I know he played great on that play and Kearse's catch was fluky as hell but I'd be pissed as hell. He should be given a 5 million dollar bonus from the Patriots in the next 7 days and if he doesn't that's bullshit. Hell of a game. Glad to see Brady get his 4th. As a 49ers fan, I would never have guessed that it would end the same way for the Seahawks as it did for us in the Championship Game the year before. I didn’t even pay attention to this game because after watching them basically stomp on us every game and leave us in the dust, and then the Packers game right before, I was beginning to (begrudgingly) accept the fact that the Seahawks would win back-to-back Super Bowls and become the dynasty of the 2010s, no matter what got in their way. I could even see that team being the first ever to three-peat in Super Bowl history. They just felt so unstoppable. I almost miss seeing them play.

I don't believe Brady would have had a safety in that moment, but it shows how smart Belichick is to go with a hard count in that situation. I totally agree here, the game was absolutely amazing. One of the best Superbowls I've ever seen. I am a Pat's fan, and when my team loses games like this, it's heartbreaking to say the least. But I swallow my pride, and move on to the next year hoping it'll be even greater then the last. However when I sit there, and people take shots at my team for things that happened in the past. I will defend my team, cause there's no need for it. The NFL has made no accusations toward the Pats this year for Deflategate, it's still under investigation. And to sit there and use Spygate as a means to make Patriots seem guilty for the current scandal is just plain blind, and stupid. Especially when there has been no released official evidence to prove that the Pats were behind it. This Superbowl however was one for the ages. Seahawks really gave it to the Patriots, and I really wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of these two teams in next year's Superbowl. My respect goes out to the Seahawks for giving us a great game, and to the real Seahawk fans who are being classy about the loss. In my eyes both teams deserved to win this game, it's just sad there can be only one.

Everyone keeps blaming the Seahawks coaching staff for the interception pass but it was a great play call based on how the pats lined up on d. They had 7 in the box, a safety deep, and one on one coverage outside. Quick slants was perfect. Also Marshawn Lynch ran the ball 5 times from the 1 yard line during regular season. He only scored once.
I agree that running the ball would have been the safer/better choice, but then again, Pete Carroll or Darrell Bevell might have tried to catch the Pats defense off guard. Either way, it was a ballsy call, not a stupid call. (BTW I'm not a Pat's or Seattle fan)

Brady led his offense very well, the Legion of Boom picked him twice but Brady still managed to bring it back. Very impressive, and Russel was no slouch either. If an inexperienced player let up a play like that I'd take his ass out. I know he played great on that play and Kearse's catch was fluky as hell but I'd be pissed as hell. He should be given a 5 million dollar bonus from the Patriots in the next 7 days and if he doesn't that's bullshit. Hell of a game. Glad to see Brady get his 4th. As a 49ers fan, I would never have guessed that it would end the same way for the Seahawks as it did for us in the Championship Game the year before. I didn’t even pay attention to this game because after watching them basically stomp on us every game and leave us in the dust, and then the Packers game right before, I was beginning to (begrudgingly) accept the fact that the Seahawks would win back-to-back Super Bowls and become the dynasty of the 2010s, no matter what got in their way. I could even see that team being the first ever to three-peat in Super Bowl history. They just felt so unstoppable. I almost miss seeing them play.

I just cannot believe how stupid Pete Carroll was calling a pass play when they had Beast Mode. Then, after that play, they could get a safety, get the ball back, get a field goal, and win the game; but no, they HAD to get the false start and give the Pats the win. THE SEAHAWKS LITERALLY THREW THIS LOMBARDI AWAY.
I think it was the OC and Carroll didn't want to throw Bevell under the bus, so said he was apart of the call.

Shisui Uchiha Safety would have been 2 points, and a field goal would have been three more. I don't believe Brady would have had a safety in that moment, but it shows how smart Belichick is to go with a hard count in that situation. He knew the Seahawks would be amped and trying to jump the snap. Baited them into the offsides and sealed the game.

clokedbigman I think the reason they didn't is because lunch had just got hit before that run and they thought the pats were expecting a run so they figured that after being taken down like that and that they knew they would run they were better off throwing
Also they only had 1 TO and if they ran it they would only have one more chance instead of two

Hahaha never gets old lol. Brady made a few mistakes but he torched the LOB lol. Everybody loves to talk about the 1 yard play but what about the play before the half? Putting Logan Ryan on a 6'5 basketball player in a clearly jump ball situation let Seattle back into the game and gave them momentum. Not to mention, they got the ball back after halftime. Dude couldn't run anything but one route. Should've had Collins over there to play the jump ball and put Ayers in his spot to watch Wilson. They don't get that play, Patriots win 28-14 without the drama
He torched players that all needed off season surgery's. Its no excuse, but still. None of the LOB was healthy.
***** Everybody is banged up when it gets down to the SB. Edelman had a messed up hip and a concussion after that Kam hit and he continued to play at a high level. Stork hurt his knee in the AFC Divisional game and showed up in the SB by dealing with that Seahawks front. Not to mention Hightower had a shoulder injury that he's been fighting through the entire postseason. And he still was stopping Lynch keeping him from getting extra yards. Even made the game clinching tackle the nobody talks about
The Uncle Drew Of coarse everybody was banged up, Seattle also had 22 players on IR (obviously not counting the LOB, which all had massive injuries) compared to 12 with the Patriots. Its honestly a miracle the Seahawks made it that far. I was just saying its not a huge surprise the best QB of this generation torched them with the injuries they had.
***** Injuries or not, nobody in the NFL has an answer for the Pats with a healthy Gronk. When they stick to the gameplan, they always execute at a high level. Even though Blount wasn't get many yards, he was aggressive and was very successful for a little bit. Then Brady started spreading them out. I hear what you're saying, I just don't think they had a answer for Gronk which is why 3 different players other than Gronk scored TDs. If it was a perfect world and everyone stayed healthy, I think the Pats still get the victory without the drama at the end. If Brady doesn't lob that first INT in the air and the Pats score. That game would've been over by halftime

Everyone is saying Pats got lucky with the interception because they didn't run the ball. No one gives credit to Butler for making the biggest play in Super Bowl history. Speaking of lucky Kearse should have never caught that ball.

What bugs me is that not many people will appreciate how great of a game this is. We're so bent on who wins of loses that we forget that the point of these games and sports is to entertain us. I understand competitiveness and rivalries but honestly people take things too seriously. A championship should measure your worth as a human. Remember it's just a game that's here for your enjoyment. Doesn't matter the outcome as long as you knew it was a great game
