WAS scored 42 unanswered points, including 35 in the second quarter. Denver were wearing their orange jerseys. Super Bowl XXIV: SF 55, DEN 10. Still the most lopsided score in SB history. There's a pattern here, and it's not a good one for Denver fans.

this is my favorite super bowl for one reason. I was in elementary school at the time and the teacher i had HATED my guts. However, she was a massive Broncos fan. So seeing her sad for about a week was amazing. I remember me and my friends just talking about the game out loud just so she would hear.
Respect to Malcolm Smith, but I think Cliff Avril should have been the MVP. His relentless pressure on Peyton Manning was key to every one of those forced turnovers.
There were a lot of good candidates for SB MVP. At the time I thought it would either Kam Chancellor or Percy Harvin (because of his two big returns) or even Russell Wilson because of his two TDs (albeit late in the game).
He got MVP because of the pick 6 and later the fumble recovery that Maxwell punched out. He wasn't the catalyst but the recipient of 2 pivotal turning points in the game. Avril and Maxwell got the credit they deserved but ultimately Smith did in fact deserve the honor. It's a team game though. A case could be made for Chancellor deserving it too.
Legion of Boom will go down as the greatest secondary of this decade. I mean for them to shut down the Broncos record setting offense in the super bowl was impressive.

Watching this makes me feel bittersweet. As a hawks fan obviously this was our moment of glory glory but at the same time the vast majority of this super bowl team is now gone. Super Bowl XXIV: SF 55, DEN 10. Still the most lopsided score in SB history. Denver were again wearing their orange jerseys.
Super Bowl XLVIII: SEA 43, DEN 8. 4 turnovers, and one of the worst playoff performances of Peyton Manning. Denver were wearing their orange jerseys.
There's a pattern here, and it's not a good one for Denver fans.
+Steven Manning if you really think they suck because of the color . you must be dum af or pete carrol
they wore Orange in 77 super bowl and lost 27-10 to Dallas. but they didn't wear Orange in 86 vs giant and they still got crushed 39-20 it was 39-13 before Denver got a meaningless touchdown.
+Steven Manning
so....what are you sayin'.....?
+Steven Manning yes the orange crush always back fires on my beloved broncos

ROLL TIDE & GO SEAHAWKS!
Just imagine the Brocnos 2013-14 Offense and the Broncos 2015-16 Defense..
I'm a Denver fan and that shit would be fucking awesome. We got raped hard on this sb. I left after the 22-0 mark
+Jay Tucker
We could have done what you guys nearly did...
Go 16-0...
+flash012234 nope pats are the only team to ever go 16-0

He was talking about if we had the '13 record-breaking offense and the '15 league best offense, we'd go 16-0, no doubt.
And, GTFO, this is a Broncos game, go trash talk on a Patriots game.
flash012234 Its also a seahawks game
this is my favorite super bowl for one reason. I was in elementary school at the time and the teacher i had HATED my guts. However, she was a massive Broncos fan. So seeing her sad for about a week was amazing. I remember me and my friends just talking about the game out loud just so she would hear.
Hating your guts? Shouldn't have been in teaching. And terrible option in sport too, wanting Broncos to beat Seahawks!
Who is here after the Chiefs lost to Bucs
Hahaha yes
Same here lmao

Gotta relive the Glory Days ;)

Man going back to old Super Bowl highlights give me the bumps
Respect to Malcolm Smith, but I think Cliff Avril should have been the MVP. His relentless pressure on Peyton Manning was key to every one of those forced turnovers.
DonKrieg95 kam
There were a lot of good candidates for SB MVP. At the time I thought it would either Kam Chancellor or Percy Harvin (because of his two big returns) or even Russell Wilson because of his two TDs (albeit late in the game).
He got MVP because of the pick 6 and later the fumble recovery that Maxwell punched out. He wasn't the catalyst but the recipient of 2 pivotal turning points in the game. Avril and Maxwell got the credit they deserved but ultimately Smith did in fact deserve the honor. It's a team game though. A case could be made for Chancellor deserving it too.
I'll never understand what the fuck happened to the Broncos this day.
Somebody got paid...

As a broncos fan, this game wasn’t nearly as heart breaking as the divisional round against the ravens
Agreed
100%
Yeah because if we beat the Ravens I guarantee we win the super bowl in 2012
@@ethanroy4978 the Broncos vs Patriots would've been the AFC championship game
Yall really hold on to those few losses u had with Manning...yall went to 2 sb in like 4 years..hard to ask for much more
Every time I am feeling sad for any reason, watching Super Bowl 48 highlights make my day again
Legion of Boom will go down as the greatest secondary of this decade. I mean for them to shut down the Broncos record setting offense in the super bowl was impressive.
TheGreatHeisman they’re the greatest secondary of all time. 3 of the 4 players in that secondary are Hall of famers. Kam, Sherman, and Earl Thomas we’re all the best at their positions for 3-4 years and for Kam and Earl even longer
@@connorsmith6517 that's a little excessive
@@wyattwv ya they are very good this year. And you cant count out the 2015 broncos shutting down a Panthers team that was 15-1 and was blowing out the cardinals in the nfc championship was no easy feat either
D.J. Taco that 2019 Pats secondary got smoked by Tennessee in the wild card. So The 2013 LOB was better then the 2019 pats secondary.
@@md-80enjoyer95 how name a better secondary
As a Broncos fan, the only highlight coming from this game was that it forced the Broncos to totally revamp their defense. Paving the way for a championship two years later.
Thanking Coach Pete Carroll for this super bowl. It was amazing to watch your energy on the field 1/10/1024
These Seahawks were unstoppable
That play call against New England was the start of the unravel

Manning was actually statistically better than brady in the postseason and top 3 all time postseason if you adjust for the defenses they played.
www.footballperspective.com/the-best-playoff-quarterbacks-in-the-super-bowl-era/
Here's a statistical analysis of playoff qbs. goes up to 2014. Factor in brady today and he goes from #11 to #5 but still slightly worse than manning. These are leverage adjusted as well, so bigger games get bigger weights. Here’s an updated version:

2 years later, the Broncos put together a defense that was insane as well and won one. Seahawks should’ve repeated, though.
2:14 Why didn't they do that in superbowl 49?
lol
***** cuz Pete Carroll is a cocky bastard

Logan Cabrera Comment for Giants. The chosen team.
Atlanta Falcons need to take notes on how to keep a lead score. 😆
Rams offense needs to learn to score more than 3 points
Broncos need to learn how to stop getting blown out losses in the Super bowls.
Too Soon man. Too Soon! XD
The titans should learn how to gain 1 extra yard
@Dhikshith Gajulapalli falcons need to take notes to win a Super Bowl
Now Wilson is a bronco. Wild.
Well this is a lot more relevant now.
This might be the most perfect Seahawks game ever played, absolutely crushed an offensive juggernaut, scored 12 seconds into each half, had a safety, pick six and fumble recovery, ran a kickoff back and shut the other team out until the 4th quarter and considering it was against the greatest statistical offensive the league has ever seen is just the icing on the cake
In my opinion this was the best defense ever when the seahawks had this defense they were unstoppable.
This just came on my recommendations in 2019. Hbu guys?
Same maybe because Percy harvin admitted to being high every game lmaoo
hey it’s me nope
It’s 2023, and Russell Wilson is that good to where he’s still able to blow out the Broncos even while being on their team!
So funny watching this after just watching the patriots beat this same team in the SB a year later. Gotta love it!!

Except the play call lost us the game, not Tom Shady.
RikerRocketMan but, brady brought the Patriots back from a 10 point defecit in the 4th quarter.
RikerRocketMan Tom shady hahaha good one bro
Tom Brady couldn't stop the giants though. nuff said.
Who cares about the Giants though? They are irrelevant
This should be called Seahawks super bowl highlights and the broncos were there too
Watching this makes me feel bittersweet. As a hawks fan obviously this was our moment of glory glory but at the same time the vast majority of this super bowl team is now gone. The hawks now lie primarily on Russell’s shoulders and while he’s still doing a great job as a quarterback some of the intensity from this super bowl team is missing from our current lineup...and of course kam chancellors original legion of boom is sorely missed as well. Still fun to look back on this.
I have been a Fan since 1978. Not quite since their inception. Watched a lot of BAD Hawks football through the years. That team was really special and that Defense they put on the field for 5 years rivaled the best throughout the years. It was a good time. Even the following year when they lost.
Here after Seahawks's announcement with Pete. Anyone else?
