“How many women do you know who actually have hobbies” this actually tells a lot. It doesn’t show that women don’t have hobbies, but it does tell us that this man has never gotten close enough to a woman to learn her hobbies.
Also men tend to make fun of women for having any hobby. Into makeup or “girly things?” They think “stupid woman only into appearance shallow woman grrr” into sports or gaming or literally anything else? “You’re only into this for mens attention stupid poser woman”…. Just can’t win unless the hobbies are cooking cleaning and childcare like mentioned in the video. *sigh*

I'm not very good at cooking. Warming this up, sure, somehow just knowing good combinations of flavors or textures, definitely, but *cooking* is often out of my reach. When I'm left to my own devices, I end up making a bowl of rice and condensed soup, basically making flavored porridge at that point.

Baking is fucking hard. It’s an exact art/science, you can’t just wing it. Anyone, male or female, who can bake good bread or cakes or cookies or pastries is a fucking Chad and deserves to be worshipped, essentially
I live near a lot of pastry/bakery shops and I always think “some of these things go back centuries, like how did they come up with mixing all these ingredients and then putting it in a oven?”
Eh, I kind of disagree, baking isn't that hard as long as you're not doing something really intensive or specialized. Cookies, muffins, pound cakes, bread, scones, lava cakes, they all just require you to follow a recipe really, so it's more about finding a good one. I’m a guy and the “anti-makeup” thing from guys like this is so bizarre. Every guy I’ve met who says they “don’t like makeup” shows that they clearly do through who they find attractive. I think it’s just that they’re so stupid and self-absorbed that they don’t understand 90% of the women they see on a night out are wearing some kind of makeup.
Literally, plus they fail to understand that women don’t wear makeup because we’re “vain” or “insecure” or to “catfish people” it’s literally just fun and another form of art/fashion and it makes you feel nice and look cool
Makeup is literally the female equivalent of males with beards/stubble. They always look tens times more immature and unattractive with a clean-shaven face, so (like with makeup) they do what improves their features and makes them look/feel good.

As a woman myself, he’s 100% correct. I’ve never picked up a book in my entire life, nor have I shown any slight interest in creative writing. The music I listened to and the instruments I played were all just to cover up the fact I don’t have hobbies. All those years of learning how to make my own clothes, reading about fashion history, and improving my makeup skills were fake. The time I spent in the kitchen trying new recipes and cuisines were a hallucination. In fact, I do not exist. This comment doesn’t exist. Women do not exist.

@@MrKrusten It’s called a hobby, many women do art as a hobby because they like to paint, draw, etc… Art is just not one thing, it can be you’re an artist who likes to draw more than paint. Surprised that no one has mentioned how often women have to lose all of their hobbies when they become mothers while men still play video games, fish, golf and go to bars with their friends. Because a women's life is inside the home, even if she works she is expected to sacrifice her identity for her children. Think about typical father's day gifts? Golf clubs, tool sets, game passes and other hobby based gear. What do mothers get? flowers and a giftcard to the spa because she deserves a damn break for once.
The same dudes who insist they hate makeup, are also always the guys who think everyone who wears it has a naturally even skin tone, vibrant red/pink/mauve lips, even blushing, dark even eyebrows, and fucking naturally outlined eyes with a wing. If you don't look like that everyday, their advice is almost always, of course, to "Just wear a little makeup. Why are you letting yourself go like that?"
Yep, was thinking the same exact thing!!! They'll criticize women for wearing "too much makeup" in one breath, then mock those that choose to wear none in the next. Damned if you do, damned if you don't....
I've gotten crap for wearing mascara from a colleague and dudes own girlfriend wore mascara and he didn't even know it apparently. I told him to his face. Another time I remember at a pub was I had "crap on my face" (black eyeliner. That was it) and the "natural" example was Kardashian 20 products because it conformed to beauty stereotypes and not subcultures (he was a friend of a friend of a friend. His girlfriend told him she loved him during sex and he just pulled out, pants up and walked out. That guy).
I also like "boyfriend does my makeup" videos. The sheer number of them that say they want something "natural" and then put on blue eyeshadow and red lipstick is truly fascinating. It's a recurring theme. Blue eyeshadow. What possessed you guy?
“Red flag is if she wears a lot of makeup” Same guys when a girl doesn’t wear any makeup: “Wow you look tired. Are you okay? Maybe you should put some lipstick on or something. Yikes”
That's false. The key phrase being "a lot of make up". But then again, women rarely let the world see what they really look like. The woman you go to bed with, is not the same one you wake up with.
@@markprice5651 yeah because women exist solely to please men in everything they do including how they dress, put on makeup, fix their hair, cook meals, clean kitchens, and even breathe air. They're not hurting anyone, just like men aren't hurting anyone if they choose to grow a beard or not. Yet you could say the bearded man you went to bed with is not the same if he wakes up and shaves it off. We meet up twice a week to nod and grunt in agreement at eachother through a dense fog of misogyny, body odour and homoerotic undertones. If only women could understand the depths of my being... but I guess you're all too busy, like, floating about somewhere with a vacant expression on your face
Telling men they need to suppress their emotions is so damaging. Doing so has caused my dad to constantly destroy his own life because he can't just ask for help. Now I have daddy issues, which I'm sure these fine young men would harass me for. Epic.
Same, it broke my dad’s marriage, mom’s mental health, and my relationship with him. But it’s not just him, it’s hard for my entire dad’s family to show emotions to each other, it feels weird. All the men in his side of family has anger issues too, and difficulty in maintaining good relationship or even making proper social interaction. My grandma hides everything from grandpa, my mom ran away to save herself and my sister, my dad’s youngest brother never got girls for too long, and his oldest brother has an abusive crazy religious family (there’s too much if I wanna go into this family too). The therapy bill will be ginormous if I wanna help all of them.
Amen. I saw a post once about someone asking why it's the women getting dragged for having daddy issues, while it's obvious the father was the one who failed them. Someone replied: the same reason single moms get dragged for being the parent that stayed.
I just want to add, that growing up I thought it was weird my mom didn't have hobbies like my dad who watched sci-fi shows and played video games with his friends. I now know that was because my dad did nothing around the house and had too much free time when he wasn't at work... It wasn't that my mom was weird, she was the only responsible adult in the house lmao
"reasonable", yes, I always wonder where the stereotype comes from that men are supposedly more "logical"(=reasonable?)? I mean, I guess they are less careful/more adventurous, and less empathetic and just taught to show less emotion.. which are all bad things in my book. But other than that, in 80% of the cases I've seen, the women are the ones doing the mental labour, the ones being reasonable, the ones holding sh*t together. So much for reason, - and as for logic: girls are supposedly better at maths, so..

A rando in a room just saying whatever lazy bad opinions pop into his head while another guy goes "oh word" But another thing is that the right wing knows that media is important for getting their ideas across and setting a narrative, so you get a lot of conservative shows, podcasts etc, and they encourage other conservatives to get involved and spread their ideology. So that could be why we're seeing a lot more of these attitudes, and media and communities based around them - they've always been there, they're just making an effort to normalise it
@@Dis_Dis Hmm, I'm not generalising when the statistics say men are more danger to women's safety than the other way around, so I guess OP might have referred to that in a joking way.
@@Dis_Dis They were referring to their main fears and flags, not number of abusers. As a woman, I do have hobbies. I love crocheting (knitting for incompetent women), menstruating, and being a delicate flower. If I knew how to read I’m sure that I would love that as well. My latest hobby is preparing myself for the upcoming London social season where the other young eligible ladies and I will become available and find husbands. To answer the question, “Why would you wear makeup when you could get your body nice and tight?” Currently I am waist training to get to a smaller corset size so that I can look as small and delicate as possible.
I've just been getting in menstruating, it's fun!! My favorite hobby, though, is definitely cutely smiling and giggling at a man's jokes and listening to him explain my own school major to me.
These dudes actually helped me figure out I'm a trans guy. I never understood why I was being weighed down with all this gravity while all the other girls weren't. I think it’s the kind of women they talk to. These guys always hang out with the…less than stellar women. Probably because no one else will hang out with them.
@adrian ramirez these kind of men, ironically, are only interested in very « feminine » women that are interested in make up and fashion, but they don’t consider that an hobby. They say they would like to find a woman with « real hobbies » like sports, but they never looked or show interest to the sporty women who don’t wear make up and act more « masculine », because they are simply not sexually attractive to them. I know a lot of women in my university that were single and struggle to find a man because they were « to feminine enough » for the males. These men are just lying to themselves and being hypocrit. I know what their favorite hobby is: blaming women for their own poor choice and their hypocrisy. Surprisingly, all the very feminine women that loved fashion and make up, the hot ones were chased by these same men. The ones that tell that they didn’t have hobbies except make up and fashion, the one that said that they switch speeches according to the context of the situation or their interlocutor. In front of women it was « men will date any decent women » « We actually want women that are sporty, that have hoodies ». In front of the boys it was « men I want a feminine women, I will date the cheerleaders ». That’s when I discovered that, because some men friends exposed these facts, then I realized that hypocrisy and lying was a common trait that a lot of share. They think women are too stupid that there is a HUGE difference between what they say and how they act. They are full of contradictions.
@Follower Of Duck Yes. Exactly. Because how TF do you talk to a woman and get the impression she don't have no hobbies? You gotta be an EXTREMELY special kinda dumb to talk to an ACTUAL WOMAN and get that idea.

Not really men but a lot of teenagers who are in full development, who are changing from kids to adults and are very easily persuaded by what they hear, and they find these podcats that put the blame on everyone except themselves and they find it appealing and easy. @@MrKrusten It’s called a hobby, many women do art as a hobby because they like to paint, draw, etc… Art is just not one thing, it can be you’re an artist who likes to draw more than paint. Or you can make figures irl and not on a canvas. You don’t have to be a professional to do sports, and also playing instruments require you to learn them??? @@MrKrusten I go to an art school where the majority of students are women. You're objectively wrong, is this really the hill you want to die on? 😂
The best comeback for that is "well if you could add inches you would too"
I've gotten crap for wearing mascara from a colleague and dudes own girlfriend wore mascara and he didn't even know it apparently.
I generally think some of these dudes are like this out of some kind of jealousy for make-up or some shit, idk lol
“Red flag is if she wears a lot of makeup”
Same guys when a girl doesn’t wear any makeup: “Wow you look tired.
How dare a woman even think she's putting on makeup for herself. No, it's all for the men, so it better be a modest amount or you're just doing it wrong and the men will be angry
@@markprice5651 it's not a red flag if someone enjoys putting on a lot of makeup. Makeup can be a hobby. Shit takes a lot of skill, and I for one am impressed with the women who can create such a masterpiece in a matter of hours. It's a red flag for you to have a problem with women wanting to enjoy their lives and the simple pleasure of putting makeup on their faces. They're not hurting anyone, just like men aren't hurting anyone if they choose to grow a beard or not. Yet you could say the bearded man you went to bed with is not the same if he wakes up and shaves it off. You'd be a terrible partner if you couldn't recognize your girlfriend with or without makeup, and you'd be even worse if you didn't love her both ways. Let people enjoy themselves. Telling men they need to suppress their emotions is so damaging. Doing so has caused my dad to constantly destroy his own life because he can't just ask for help. Now I have daddy issues, which I'm sure these fine young men would harass me for. Epic.
Being able to express emotions in a healthy manor is a necessity. It's literally inhuman to hold all of that in 😐.
I knew it was a problem when I was a child, but my entire extended family gaslit and bullied me into believing that it was completely normal.

If women did try to engage and open up with them, these dudes probably wouldn’t actually listen to what they said about themselves and 2. It’s pretty unlikely that women would even attempt to open up or share things about their life with them. These men are so invested in the old patriarchal worldview that paints women as vapid subhumans that they refuse to actually do anything that might examine the veracity of that worldview. Like they only pay attention to or acknowledge women who fit into their ideological box.
And then wonder why the women they talk to have no depth. Like bruh if women are staying around you they're probably traumatized, and women you talk to casually are ~*uncomfortable*~ so of course you're not seeing personality. Anyone else noticing a distinct uptick in men online feeling comfortable to be sexist and hate women openly? Little worrying
I think part of it is algorithms, like an echo chamber. One person with these ideas will find everyone else with the same ones. and the more they click the more they see. When in the real world their ideas are actually super unrealistic fucked up and super misogynistic. same thing happens with politics and misinformation on social media so you don’t see both sides of the story, the “alpha males” only see more alpha males and think “this is ok” because they lack critical thinking and don’t look at literally anything else...
Like with the "alpha male" videos? I thought that those are just popular nowadays because people like to laugh at them. I haven't noticed misogyny being more common other than that but that's just my personal experience.
it's a direct result of women speaking up against misogyny and sexism while these men become uncomfortable getting called out lmao
This is one of the things I can be grateful for the internet for. When these men wannabes post crap like this, I know EXACTLY who to avoid, person & personality wise because who got the brain cells to deal with that bullshit. I mean really🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
I feel like part of it's because of the pandemic, there's been a bit of a boost for podcasts and a lot of people have started making them - and unfortunately this is some of what you get! A rando in a room just saying whatever lazy bad opinions pop into his head while another guy goes "oh word"
But another thing is that the right wing knows that media is important for getting their ideas across and setting a narrative, so you get a lot of conservative shows, podcasts etc, and they encourage other conservatives to get involved and spread their ideology. So that could be why we're seeing a lot more of these attitudes, and media and communities based around them - they've always been there, they're just making an effort to normalise it
Red flags in women: little features that make them unattractive
Red flags in men: signs they might murder you while dating
@@Dis_Dis Hmm, I'm not generalising when the statistics say men are more danger to women's safety than the other way around, so I guess OP might have referred to that in a joking way.
@@Dis_Dis They were referring to their main fears and flags, not number of abusers. Women end up taking a lot of precautions for their own physical safety before going on early dates because of how frequent the horror stories happen to the. Its not that it cant happen to men. Its frequent enough for women that they have to account for it when planning their dates.

Where do I sign up for menstruation? I’m fucking sick of wet dreams and getting boners at random times.

"women dont have hobbies"
mans just told us that he has never had a real conversation with a real woman without telling us
He knows women just from the movies, where they portray women mostly dumb and plein.
