I Ate at the Most OLD SCHOOL ITALIAN Restaurant in Las Vegas

  • I ate at the most old school Italian restaurant in Las Vegas, Battista's Hole in the Wall. Battista's is an Italian restaurant located across from Bally's Las Vegas (formerly MGM Grand), in operation since 1949. You get complimentary wine with your dinner at Battista's Hole in the Wall and, if you're lucky, a serenade from the venerable accordion player. The whole restaurant is like a dim (literally) memory of the past. It reminded me most of 1970s Italian American food. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmesan at Battista's Las Vegas.

I'm Italian, living in Italy and I desperately want to come to the US to try chicken parm, spaghetti with meatballs and garlic bread because they actually don't exist here but I saw them everywhere in movies/tv series😂😂😂

I order a Panino, they look puzzled! And thanks for the garlic bread thing, we had a massive argument with some idiot know all relative over from the UK in our place in Turin, who insisted we weren't at a 'proper' restaurant as garlic bread wasn't on the menu.

It's Italian-American food. They are recipes your ancestors invented after they came to America many decades ago. It's really excellent food if the chef is a good chef. If you ever come to visit America the biggest surprise will be Pizza. Our pizza is very different from yours.

Because Derek did not get any wine, just want to let viewers know the wine actually comes in large carafe, and they will keep bringing more if you ask...we usually get at least 2. They will also bring more garlic bread. They are very generous with the wine and bread, easily justifying the prices. Our favorite Vegas restaurant!
