Very true but with how many sacrifice outlets we run we should have a solid way to kill something else in response freeing our commander from mimic vat. We’d need a solid sac outlet before we exiled our commander anyway sense we won’t be getting off his die triggers unless we sacrifice him.
My understanding of the way mass cloning of the commander worked here (specifically for rite of replication) was this: cast and kick ror, all etbs go on stack. State based actions has you sac your commander or the copies til theres just one left, all death triggers are then put on the stack. Then since the stack is first in last out, and the etbs were put on the stack first *then* the death triggers, youd do all 5 death triggers before any of the etb triggers happen. Dont get me wrong, id be thrilled to be wrong about this but i think the design is intentionally like this so each copy effect gives you a free spell while stacking your topdeck for the next clone. Either way cool video! Glad i watched!
No, the game handles state based actions first then the triggers get put into the stack. So. 1. Mass Cloning Happens> 2. Clones ETB 3. ETB Triggers BUT they don't go on stack yet because game needs to resolve SBA first 4. Legend Rule Triggers and all SBA are resolved 5. LTB Triggers 6. ETB and LTB NOW get put on the stack at the same time after the SBA resolution. 7. Arrange ETB and LTB in ANY order you like.
You're a creative genius. I haven't finished the vid yet but Aminatou's Augury for free into > Omniscience/One with the Multiverse/Cast Through Time would be fun. Arcane Endeavor, Living Lore, Spell Twine, Wizard's spellbook, Mind Desire, Muse Vortex each imitate the commanders death trigger also!!

Honestly I don't even think that's the best way to build hidetsugu. Reanimate spells are so broken that you can just keep chaining them off with hidetsugu and a sac outlet. If you have a high enough concentration of reanimnation spells you can keep putting them on top, sacking hidetsugu and kairi and then casting the reanimation spell on hidestugu and kairi for free and dealing damage to your opponents. big flashy spells like clone legion are cool but it requires someone to already have a board state or for you to have another spell to get back hidetsugu and kairi. A lot of the stuff you reccommend for blinking feels kinda irrelevant and the large expensive enchantments that just make big dudes feels soooo slooowww. If you want to play that slow gameplan then go ahead but you definitely do not need expropriate to make a powerful deck.
Yo can do it even easier by using Clone making instants and sorceries like Quasiduplicate. There are a bunch of them that you can keep chaining. The tokens die to the legend rule and you get both the ETB and the dies trigger. No need for a sacrifice outlet.
@@haixinyang sac outlets only work with reanimation spells they don't work with clone spells. I think it's better to focus on either sac outlets and reanimation spells OR clone spells. Either way is fine and it's ok to have reanimation spells in a deck with a lot of clone spells. However, sac outlets don't work well with clone spells.
The blink effects are purely for his brainstorm etb it’s a super powerful ability on its own and can be used to set up the top of our library amazingly. The exile effects like mimic vat will need a sac outlet to work that way we can get the die trigger. Unless we are using blade of selves then the copies will die instantly due to the legend rule.

As far as I know the blink effect wouldn't work with our commander. You exile them, they don't go to the graveyard and so it doesn't count as dying.
