Hey Jake awesome playing man! Great vibrato btw, and that outro jam definitely had some ZZ Top vibes IMO GREAT work and awesome deal on the guitar as well!
It is not normal for there to be a space at the neck and I suspect that a musician got caught in the rain at the beach and salt water did a number on the chrome.
Thank you, that’s what I assumed about the neck! And it does seem like they played it at a beach or left it in the rain. Regardless, it’s great and I really like it!
I advised my friend who is learning to play to buy a new one of these recently. I was so impressed that as soon as I can afford I’m buying one.

Thank you!

Sounds about right!
Thinking of picking up one of these, thanks for the review it was helpful.
Epiphone makes great stuff. I have an Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul and an Epiphone Tony Iommi SG. The Les Paul is awesome but I love the SG.
I have a late 90s/early 2000s one in black, but it has Grover tuners, and I put some pickups from guitar fetish in it. It's a solid unit
Epiphone pickups are class
I really like their pickups!
Can you tell how much the pickups cost?
What bugs me most about Epi Sgs is the way they skimp on the bevels and have a pretty much uniform body thickness all around.
But body beveling is expensive. They would have to tack another $3,000 onto the retail price if they did that 🤣
heck of a good deal!
That was a hell of a deal. Congrats!
Thank you!! It was an amazing deal. This has been a reliable workhorse for me!
Thats where its glued
I figured, and after owning it for a bit and playing it I don’t think it’s an issue and must be how it was manufactured!
nice playing also
Thank you so much!
knobs are after market
Yep, exactly. And one of them was broken off inside. I have since replaced them with some better ones and it looks a lot better :)
