A magnificent abby, Lisa and Giles. Always a shame when you can't film, but we loved the gardens and art gallery. We agree with Giles and would pay. Would love to see it more and take the English tour! Melk town looked lovely as well. Thanks for bringing us along.
Yes I would recommend doing it on your own and perhaps paying for the English guided tour as it still worked out a lot cheaper than an excursion. Thanks for watching Karen
Many river cruises e.g. Emerald, include Melk as part of a guided tour. Agree that it is stunning and a shame that pictures are forbidden. We also thought the manicured gardens were equally beautiful. Some great photos opportunities.
